At least you can get unemployment, I guess. Nothing in that text indictates you did something wrong. So, if they put a different reason in when you file for unemployment, you can show the text which gives no reason or even suggests you did anything wrong. He's either not getting as much work and can't afford you or else he hired someone else to take your shifts which means he fired you without cause and you deserve unemployment.
