No one here is actually disagreeing that kuzushi is a thing. But a lot of time when people throw out the term you need more kuzushi it is very vague and it means nothing to the person receiving the advice.

There are also several ways to obtain kuzushi and several different ways you can change your movements to actually gain kuzushi, several things you can do to your uke. So when you throw out advice of "Oh you need more kuzushi" it means literally 1 of a thousand things which also means it means nothing because you are not giving out any specific advice. It is literally just saying "well just off balance them". YEAH IF THEY KNEW HOW THEY WOULDNT ASK YOU FOR ADVICE!!!!

Disagree. The literal translation may not make sense but that doesn’t mean the phrase is meaningless.
