Judo wasn't developed for street fights and won't help you any more than any other martial art if some psycho unleashes his meth-powers on you.
5 u/Guivond Jul 06 '25 Judo helps for the streetz dog. I slipped one day in the rain and did a perfect ukemi. The only thing injured was my pride. 3 u/disposablehippo shodan Jul 06 '25 true, for fighting gravity it's still the best MA out there! Did an Ukemi over the hood of a car that hit me. 1 u/Guivond Jul 06 '25 Holy shit. Were you okay? 2 u/disposablehippo shodan Jul 06 '25 Yeah, the car was just parking and cutting across the bike path, so it was a slow impact. Also I was like 17 at the time and 17 year old Judoka are the closest thing to being invulnerable as you can get.
