Other Why the animosity towards BJJ?

I'm just wondering why I often see Judo people ragging on BJJ people. I see this a lot when a BJJ guy posts a video demonstrating a Judo throw. In the comments there will usually be a bunch of angry Judo people saying things like "BJJ = basically just Judo", and things like that.

I have been noticing this for years, but why?

I think both arts are awesome, and it would be great if we could just combine them into one big, beautiful art!

It’s really rare to see disrespect.

Wrestling, BJJ, Sambo and Judo are brothers.

What irks people is the ignorance of BJJ influencers on social media…

  • They’re grip fighting is non-existent
  • They teach throws wrong
  • They crap on ukemi
  • They say stuff like “judo was better” when it had leg grabs but it’s obvious none of them watch judo now or even pre-2013

I see more people hating on jiu jitsu. Literally everywhere on the Internet i see lots of haters, whether trained in various martial arts or combat styles or untrained ones(basically these types are just imbeciles since they are just running their mouths about things they don't know about and pretending to know, hence the untrained onea don't have to be taken seriously, of course), hating on jiu jitsu aka BJJ. Why the hate? There's even videos by certain people literally hating on BJJ. There's an idiot youtuber who does karate that hates on BJJ. Saying BJJ is useless. Literally. What the actual f_ck? He was confronted by a jiu jitsu blue belt or something also a youtuber and tried to act like he wasn't. In the comments he was called out and yet he continued to provoke the BJJ community. Karate has zero grappling. Yet this fool likely also took some grappling lessons to handle jiu jitsu, if its really and purely karate, he stands no chance. The jiu jitsu fella that went to confront him wasn't even trying and I don't know whether if it was staged, for some reason when they sparred its like hes having a hard time against that karate clown. Its ridiculous. As I am analysing that rodeo clown that does karate I can envision ways on how to take him down factually and either he submits or I will choke him the fu_k out and or break his arm. I have actually sparred against karatekas and some of them just like him, and they are the best for jiu jitsu to deal with. I have defeated every single one of them. Of all belt levels. BJJ/Jiu Jitsu beats Karate straight up all day and its true. People are condoning hate towards BJJ, and then saying its BJJ that's being arrogant and ignorant and stirring strife but its very clearly the other way around, people are being arrogant and ignorant towards BJJ and stirring all kinds of strife and hate towards us. Nothing will change my opinion because this is literally what I observed. Its like a bunch of l0sers untrained or trained in whatever fighting styles that got their asses kicked by BJJ practitioners, including that idiot karateka youtuber now this one likely got his ass beat by a BJJ practitioner more than once hence the hate, and proceed to hate on BJJ. Its pathetically hilarious. For real. Therefore I fully agree with this post, asking, why the animosity towards BJJ? What did it or any of us whom practised BJJ really do to any one of you hating on BJJ and us who do BJJ, to garner such hate towards us? What did we do to any of you? Did we hurt any of you in any way, for real? Lol. Genuinely curious. But yeah. Feel free to answer, or not.
