"I studied the ancient earth techniques known as Judo, but found it to be inadequate, however they fought with honour"

I do like that by the time we get to DS9 Worf actually learns to fight. As I understand one of the producers was a big Aikido guy and that’s where Worf got his skills from for DS9.

Nice, I wonder if advertisers are getting Inspiration from there as well, because boy does modern advertising look like the Ferengi are behind it all.

Isnt it more of a seoi nage, considering he is grabbing the sleeve with his right arm? Ippon seoi would be pinching the arm with the bicep 🤔

Ippon Seio Nage = 1 arm shoulder throw
Because tori has a grip on only one arm, I'm pretty sure that ippon Seio is going to be correct (ish)
The mechanics look more koshi waza (ish....maybeeeee...???) to me though.

My biggest peeve is they never shown Worf stretch, but they showed the women do so. Bend Those Knees Worf! Alas, Star Trek is not a show about fighting technique. And that Klingon blade is so cringe.

An imperfect Ippon seio
