General Training I farted during Ura Nage
During randori, I tried to counter a forward throw with Ura Nage and a fart involuntarily escaped my body.
Luckily, it was loud all around us (because of multiple people doing randori), so I don't think anyone noticed.
That is all.

Just keep in mind that a yoga studio has a bigger brass section than Judo and BJJ put together.

My coach farted while demonstrating juji gatame on a student in front of the class. The student didn’t tap

Rocket-powered Judo. It's especially powerful in yagura nage.
At least you didn't get 5+ farts squeezed out of you in a quiet dojo.

I once farted on someone’s face doing the arm bar. I blamed the cover on the mat
People know how to ignore farting during randori or warm up except me, I always liked stupid humour

... but did they smell it?

I wasn't worried about that. The room was full of people. Anyone else could've done it for as far as they know

I farted when someone tried to throw me with tomoe nage. Their foot position was too high and they kicked me in the stomach
It's happened to us all 🤣

The more carbs one eats, the more one farts.
Benjamin Franklin wrote a book entitled "Fart Proudly" a short few hundred years back. Good reading while enjoying coffee or tea in a hipster cafe!

Shame, be proud of your farts. It's like karate kiai- judo version.
If you never farted loudly after being thrown hard on the ground- are you even a proper judoka, bro?
In my old schedule I was eating a small mcdonalds meal right before my judo class, believe it or not but it was a good peformance boost for me. Downside was burping and rarely farting during practice, especially hard belly muscle training we do at the end of each class. It always lightened up the mood in the dojo, especially after harder randori where everyone was exhausted and some were bruised.

Mune gatame, but I love ‘moony’ … besides neither of our writing is kanji… so it doesn’t matter

"If you've never farted in training, you've never trained hard enough"
