I'll take the bait.
Please. This could be modified tawara gaeshi, Sumi gaeshi (tori has a brief Georgian grip), or even Te guruma (the pant grip)!
I will not accept Sukui Nage.

"This could be modified tawara gaeshi"
In tawara gaeshi (ricebag reversal) Tori is sacrificing himself to execute the throw (ma sutemi waza)
"Sumi gaeshi (tori has a brief Georgian grip)"
In Sumi gaeshi (corner reversal) Tori is sacrificing his body (ma sutemi waza) to execute the throw.
" or even Te guruma (the pant grip)"
Yes - it is a hand technique (Te waza) and it is a wheel (kuruma).
Therefore it is Te gurma but! Te guruma is a variant (henka) of Sukui nage (scoop throw) and not an official classification.
"I will not accept Sukui Nage"
Up to you :)
Note:
Is Te-Guruma it's own technique or is it a variation of Sukui-Nage? : r/judo

Jesus Christ, why do Judoka nitpick over what Kodokan name techniques should fall under???
This is a huge turn-off for many people looking to get into the sport or who recently started doing Judo. It actively hurts Judo!

Yeah it’s mainly the pompous way some judokas disagree. Like he could have framed it like, “what makes this a sukui nage and not something like a te guruma/tawara gaeshi?” That would be a much friendlier exchange than “I will not accept sukui nage”
Like he needs to touch grass bro lol

It’s an internet thing … people aren’t taking themselves seriously.

I mean maybe to you it is… I have witnessed way too many people do the same thing in real life.

It show leg grabs allowed counters bad technique.
I remember with leg grabs i had more dynamic in competition, something wrong standing, and leg grab help with Ippon. So if someone block kuzushi, i could attack legs because they defend only standing position.

Tori is one of the best European Heavyweights of All Time:
Very smart Judo! He often figured out his oppenent and could throw, whatever was needed.
