Just wondering what are some of the best set ups/combinations for a left osoto

My favourite is a hopping osoto gake. Keep distance with the lapel, pull the sleeve in, backstep, hook your heel in the crook of uke's knee while collapsing it and hop it down.

…and be careful about the pressure on uke’s knee…

Wow… This sounds interesting, especially the backstep… is there a video that shows this?

Collar drag to ko-soto then collar drag and heel plant like you’re going for o-uchi and then push to uke’s sleeve side with o-soto.

My favourite is to secure the inside lapel grip, then drive under uke’s chin and pull with your hikite.

When you feel some resistance, collapse your upper body backwards (totally relax everything) and extend your cutting legs the same time.

It is unnerving for uke. They feel like they are falling forward and tense up.

You follow that tension, pulling yourself back into uke and then cut for OSG.

Depending on the angle you also have a mean ashi-guruma from there.
