Rank these Katara kissing Aang on the cheek moments from favorite to least favorite.

Book 2 is my favorite by far because it was an expression of feelings without either or them saying it out loud.

Book 3 probably was my second favorite because after the month Katara had she really needed that dance and that moment with Aang, so I really enjoyed the symbolism behind it!

Book 1 has to be right behind book 3. I love the playfulness behind all of it, and how it was their friendship mending after all the questionable decisions that had happened that episode.

Katara DEFINETLY knew, or at least strongly suspected, what Aang was going to say, the blushing and body language gave it ALL away! That in turn explains her looking super peeved when Sokka jumped in and interrupted!

Boy, that dance! The chemistry was PALPABLE! The Kataango!

That, to me, was Katara showing, after the events of Aunt Wu's village, that she liked him too, or at least was open to it!

I still love the Book 2 cheek kiss because, to me, it’s Katara’s way of saying “I love you too” and picking up on Aang’s confession

Rather than rank them, I'd just note how they show the build between them:

The first is just after Katara's epiphany to Aunt Wu's prediction. She's taking advantage of the situation to test the waters.

The second is their mutual confession, shown rather than said. I am 100% convinced both expected to start their relationship once he returned from the Guru and that's what it represents. Unfortunately, he came back, died in her arms, and it sent everything sideways, including their relationship.

The third is her inability to control herself. She's trying to hold back in S3, but sometimes the situation is such that she just can't.
