Banner: division of labour

All right. The basis we are working from is this banner. Various minor modifications are still being discussed, but I think we should give each contributor some freedom in drawing "his" section, rather than endlessly spamming details and trying to get a consensus on absolutely everything.

With that in mind, let's try to divide some tasks. I need volunteers for several different sections. I will update this post with usernames as people pick a section.

Let the volunteering begin!

The deadline for contributions is Friday 23:59 CEST, so don't wait too long with picking a section and drawing it.

I imagined the colonials would be included with the VOC as the mouseover version of the flea market; I'll clarify that.

Friday is a good deadline.

In my opinion, the colonials should be standing next to / drowning in a gracht, as a seperate image and hover alt, opposite to the other gracht where the drunk tourists are standing next to. This places the market and the royal couple between two grachten; which I think would be nice as the area in-between the grachten would symbolize a city center. So basically the banner concept we're working from, with an additional gracht to the right.

I preferred the idea of the alt of the flea market to be that of the Netherlands scamming an American with the oregano/cannabis joke, but he who draws that part should decide for himself.

A second gracht is a good idea. Then the gracht on the left should be mirrored so that both grachten point "outwards", for a good perspective effect.
