In a final public appearance together four days before the military helicopter crash that claimed their lives along with six others, Samuel Sarpong, Vice-Chair of the governing National Democratic Congress Party of Ghana (wearing a hat) and Ghanaian Defense Minister Edward Omane Boamah (wearing a tie) flanked a speaker.

In the photo they were attending a funeral service on 2 August 2025 for two other key members of the governing political party, Kobina Ade Coker and Sam Pee Yalley.
