NEWS 25 year old Palestinian photojournalist Fatima Hassouna was ecstatic to learn that her talent was to be celebrated at Cannes Film Festival, at the screening of a documentary about her work, documenting civilian life in Gaza. Only 24 hours later, on the 16th April 2025, Israel murdered Fatima.
The airstrike with which Israel murdered Fatima, also killed ten of her family members.
