Seems okay, a lot of like genuinely evil people ik are in Maynooth but the courses are good and the campus is beautiful, biggest issue is that it's so far from everything besides Maynooth itself 😭

People who couldn't quite make it into Dublin settle for Maynooth. The university has come up in terms of education but the students on the other hand... not the best bunch.

The students are the same as every other university except maybe trinity where everyone has sticks up their arse

How do you know if someone went to Trinity College? They tell you!

I’m laughing at this. Some people dont want to go to Dublin.

Did my undergrad and masters in Maynooth and absolutely loved it. Loved it enough that after 4 years of being fully qualified, I’ve moved back up that direction ! Found it small and it was easy to make friends / get around the campus. Wasn’t super overwhelming. Will say there isn’t a whole lot to do in the area, but some great clubs and socs on campus to join !

It is very much the Slackers College. Ik people who go, and they say the same. Most of the science courses don't give you accreditation and most people who go there either want to be priests, teachers or had no clue what to do wth themselves and put it down cuz it had low points.

Maynooth graduate here, can't say enough good things about the place. I initially went to a bigger university but found it too big and overwhelming so ended up starting again in Maynooth. Lecturers know your name, smaller lectures, campus is beautiful and Maynooth town itself is great. Some of my happiest memories there. Got a job straight after graduating. No matter where you go, whatever you put into it you'll get out of it. Good luck!

I've yet to meet a single person who put it down as their no.1. Also students are pretty infamous for never turning up to class, but maybe every uni is like that idk

You can cross it off your list now.

not a good rep but not a bad one either, it’s meh and mostly seen as college for people looking for a ride

I went to Maynooth for my undergrad and postgrad and absolutely loved it, the town itself is lovely and has a college town feel to it. Close to Dublin by train or bus, I still live here after graduating.

Many of them have told me, 'It's not about the university you go to but the effort you put into your course.' Load of twaddle.
