Personally, I demand solidarity with the Lebanese people. And I ask all Lebanese to not conflate Shiaa Lebanese with Hezbollah and to not forget there are Christians in the South too.

So what I demand, is that we stand by every innocent civilian and do all in our power to support each other in a war we did not consent to, in a war that does not serve our interests, and in a war that has literally made every aspect of our lives worst.

Fuck the sectarian system. Fuck the foreign puppets.

Please let this be a moment we are Lebanese first, and only.

Not for Hezbollah's sake. Not America's sake. Not for Iran's sake. Not for Saudi Arabia's sake.

But for all you beautiful people that make this country so damn worth defending and fighting to a build a better future for.

Don't let them divide us.

And don't think for a second unity means we bend the knee to Hezbollah.

All we wanna do is raise the Lebanese flag, as a symbol, and have it reacher higher than any other flag we see. Hezbollah included.

I agree with you 100000000% percent.

The thing is: If you fight with hezbollah, they will ALWAYS raise the iranian/their own flag higher than the Lebanese one. They may pretend they are fighting for your country, like when Israel was occupying the south. But at the same time, they would sell out your country to Iran in an instant.

Those who want to unite with Hez will go to sleep and then wake up in Iran the next day.

I understand and this was also a plea to fellow Shiaa to ask them to also raise the Lebanese flag higher than any other.

Watana 8ale, and I cannot be responsible for what others do, I can just plead with them to not forgive the gift we have in Lebanon and more precisely the Lebanese people - quite literally due to our diversity.

And that's a Lebanon I will do everything in my power to preserve, even if my efforts at the end of my life end up being being a drop in a bucket that evaporates before even landing.

If my fellow Shiaa and other Lebanese wish to abandon their nation and their peoples now, that's on their shoulders and for God to judge.

But for the rest of us, we're going to put Lebanon first at all costs. And Lebanon and the Lebanese people (not the government, not our sectarian leaders or parties) is who we owe our loyalty and compassion to.

And again any of you, including myself, who even have a hint of sectarianism in you or allegiance to any party - fuck that shit.

Ditch those flags. Ditch supporting them. Ditch defending them or justifying their actions.

Please choose Lebanon and the Lebanese people. We need each other now more than ever.

Diversity can be an incredible strength, or an incredible weakness. In the recent past it’s been Lebanon’s weakness, but hopefully soon it will become a strength again. Lebanese society and culture is so beautiful, and I hope you are able to overcome the sectarian system and restore Lebanon as a multicultural, tolerant island again.
