I was just thinking about movies
What if they made a legend of dragoon movie or series because they made comics it would be a good idea with so many game based movies now and it doesn't have to be live action

All kinds of media types are possible. However, it's important to keep the wider context in mind. If a direct remaster or remake is not a good financial risk, why would a non-game adaptation? The IP just isn't that strong, and Sony hasn't done this with their other in-house IPs to begin with. In addition, the right team would need to be hired. Even though it "can" go well, it's highly unlikely without precedent and some existing confidence in the IP.

I was just thinking about it and they could base it off the comics probably

I mean, I get it. You're talking to the person who wants LoD in 108 formats haha. I'd like to help facilitate a short-form comedy series, among other things. To clarify, I just think it's something fans should do, instead of something official. That way we can explore all kinds of formats and takes on the story, with no risk to the IP.

I like that fan-made idea because when you get the official people they don't care they just want the money from it but fans usually do a better job because they care about it not what they gain but how it tell how much they love it
(I like the joke to)

I think that the most natural adaptation would be an anime.
A live action could be fine too, even if it's kinda hard to get the supernatural elements in a non cringy way.
Regardless they would need to be a series, since a single movie would be too short to compress the whole story and their complex characters without ruining them in a significant way.
