Questions Physics Related Jobs In Liechtenstein

I've been interested in living in Liechtenstein for a while now and I was wondering if it has good job opportunities related to physics, astronomy, or aerospace engineering. Thank you!

Generally you will only get a one year living permit (when you find a job)

Living there will be kinda difficult... As the other guy said, you can join the lottery and win Residence permit

Or if you find a job AND you are in an essential position... Like really essential... Then you can also apply for an "unlimited" permit

But yea... Easiest way will be to live in Switzerland close to the border and working in Liechtenstein (if you wanna be here in the area)

I'm just a random lurker but how does this residence permit work for non-EU/Schengen passport holders work? If by some god's grace you get a job in Liechtenstein but the one year permit is finished and you lose this lottery, does that mean you effectively lose your job as well since you'll not have the right to live in Liechtenstein, Switzerland, nor Austria?

For non EU citizen it's even more complicated in the first place

Even getting a work permit is tied to much stricter Preconditions ( only for Managerial staff, Specialists, qualified personnel..... And only if there is not an alternative workforce elsewhere)

But let's assume you got one

The best choice would be to get a Austrian living permit... I don't think that they are that strict as long as you get a Health insurance and a place to stay... And a contract of your workplace

So you would cross the border every day to go to work

But if you can't find a place to stay.... Yea you pretty much could loose your job... As a result of not showing up to work... Kinda

Myself For example, I moved to Switzerland after that one year permit... But if I hadn't found anywhere to stay, I would have had to go back to Germany.

Then I had to choose between a 1 hour Commute or giving up my job
