Annual Spotlight: u/Kolownik - "Clean Rap Music & HipHop for Kids"

A special congratulations to our annual winner u/Kolownik for posting the most upvoted playlist this year, earning a permanent spot on our leaderboard!

“Clean Rap Music & HipHop for Kids” gives you exactly what the title suggests, a list of songs for your young ones that you actually want to sing along to. Kidz Bop Kids bring playful energy with their cover of Justin Bieber’s “Peaches,” while Nas’s “I Can” stands out as a positive anthem that keeps the lyrical edge without crossing any lines. The Black Eyed Peas’ “I Gotta Feeling” slides in as a crowd-pleaser, giving parents and kids a track they can both enjoy. Across 37 songs and 2 hours of music, the mix moves from lively singalongs to laid-back grooves, creating a playlist that feels fun and fresh without losing flow. Whether it’s a family road trip, a birthday party, or just background music for playtime, this collection keeps the energy high while staying clean for everyone.

Annual Spotlight: u/bikisser2- "Background Mix"

Another spotlight from this year goes out to u/bikisser2 who created a whole library of smooth Jazz to keep you floating through the day. With over 5,600 tracks stretching past 24 hours, this playlist feels less like a quick mix and more like a full archive of sound. It leans instrumental for the most part, but with plenty of variety such as, David Sanborn’s “Goodbye” and MF DOOM’s “Coffin Nails”, which shows how far the definition of jazz can stretch. Artists such as Michael Lington and Brian Hughes make multiple appearances, giving the collection a sense of depth and familiarity as it shifts between soulful horns, wandering guitar notes, and breezy rhythms. It’s the kind of playlist you can leave on all day, moving effortlessly from one mood to the next without breaking flow.

Special Mention: u/Playlist_curator - "Calm Sleep Instrumental"

u/Playlist_curator brings us another great list of instrumentals that bring the tempo down a notch, leaning into ambient and meditative sounds that slow the day to a calm. With gentle melodies and flowing textures throughout, it’s a playlist made for mindfulness, study, or simply unwinding before sleep.

Special Mention: u/scootermcgroover - "less than 1000: Volume 14"

u/scootermcgroover brings us another curated gem with a playlist of lesser-known indie bands, each artist averaging under 1,000 monthly Spotify listeners, making for an adventurous and under-the-radar listening journey. With raw authenticity and fresh sound, the collection feels like uncovering hidden indie treasures, perfect for discovering the next favorite song before anyone else.

Community Curated What songs represent northern rural living?

Welcome to this week's community curated playlist: We give a theme and every week we make a playlist together!

Would you like to help us pick the themes for this event? Let us know any suggestions down below!

Our Theme: I was listening to a podcast recently that talked about the growing popularity of folk and country music in the northern regions of the U.S. It got me thinking about how artists such as Noah Kahan blur the lines, like “Is this really country, or something new entirely”. What songs come to mind when you think of Northern Country or Mountain Music? Are there any tracks that capture a rustic and pine covered vibe for you? Thank you for the comments! We appreciate everyone’s input!

Discussion Make $$$ and finding new playlists??? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Whats up everyone. I've been having a problem. I can't find new music anymore. Spotify and Apple Music suggest the same 30 songs, music streaming platforms are riddled with AI generated playlists. The only place I can find stuff is through TikTok or Reels. Soundcloud occasionally has some good stuff but I cant find stuff consistently. I created a platform to solve this issue. Charted is a place for people to share playlists. Connect to your Apple Music, Soundcloud, Youtube Music accounts. You can filter by genres, sort by most popular, upvote and downvote playlists, comment, etc. You can also monetize your playlists and make money off it based on its popularity. Think of it as Reddit for playlists of all platforms. Would love if you guys check it out 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. Thanks everyone.

Playlist Make me a playlist of 80s and 90s soap opera music

I’m not talking theme songs—I mean the sultry, sometimes eerie instrumentals played through the episodes of of late 80s and 90s Bold and the Beautiful, etc.

Discussion Looking for feedback on an annotated playlist management tool I made

Hello all,

I like having human context and stories around song lists, but I couldn't find a seamless way to maintain that on major listening platforms. So I made mbzlists where you can create list blogs with songs, rich text, and images all together.

These lists (and individual songs) can be shared and played on any platform (currently supports Spotify, YouTube, and Subsonic-compatible players). Here is a small write-up with more details.

While I use it here and there in personal capacity, I am looking for feedback from more listeners who face similar issues around list portability and sharing of context with tracks. Thanks!

Request I'm creating a 106bpm cycling playlist.

I got this idea from tiktok for building a cycling playlist: find a song tempo that fits your desired ride cadence.

So I've found that roughly a 106bpm tempo works really well for me. So I'm looking for suggestions for songs to add.

So far here's what I have, so you can see what genre music and vibe I'm going for.

The Man by The Killers Who Did That To You by John legend Short Change Hero by The Heavy Wild Child by The Black Keys Used to the Darkness by Des Rocs

EDM I’ve created an EDM playlist that brings together what I think are some of the top tracks out there. You’ll find a lot of recognizable names alongside fresh sounds. Hope you enjoy the vibes!

Playlist how do you go about making a playlist?

so i’ve been wanting to create playlists for the LONGEST time and it’s finally came the time where im actually putting energy towards it, but since i just started i wouldn’t consider myself the best at making them. i’ve made a couple in the past and there’s a handful of songs that have some sort of cohesiveness to them within the playlist, but then there’s just so many that were added just to be there and i want to be more intentional with the way i make them. so i was wondering what techniques or tips or tools people use or i guess what goes through your mind, when making a playlist? any sort of insight or help with this is very appreciated !!

Request songs with same vibe as cry by cas, or from the pov of a cheater?

I'm looking for songs with (hopefully) the exact same vibe as Cry by Cigarettes After Sex. I love how quietly devastating it sounds and the fact that it's from the pov of a cheater. I need more quietly devastating songs from the pov of the cheater please.

In my playlist so far I have Cry by CAS (perfect), and "someday i'll get it" by Alek Olsen (not really but I like how it's quiet and kinda sounds like regret).

I'd also love songs that are about regret or like feeling bad but no one to blame it on (but yourself)

Alternative Give me some of your Favourite Alternative Songs

I'm looking for songs that are under the radar, like the indie devs of music. You won't hear about them too often, many people may not recognize the name, and you won't hear them on the radio (at least not often). A majority of Nerdcore would go here. Less commonly talked about bands, like Mega Mango. Or creators like 'Madilyn Mei'. Or stuff like Butcher Vanity. Even more 'joke-ish' creators like Vinny Marchi. Even Game OST stuff. Just not the common radio songs. I don't care about Genre (sorta - it's more about sound), they will be added to the Mega Playlist (we all have that one weird amalgam playlist with no rhyme or reason to it, mine has over 2k songs).
