Question Where do I place the hook ?
So I was just thinking does it matter where I place my hook or can I just put it in the beginning and the end of the song ? Does it matter where you put it in

I think the most common is at the start and between verses, but format really doesn't matter tho - whatever u think sounds best

Wherever you want. Can even have multiple different hooks if ya want. Sky is the limit.

It's unclear whether you're a vocalist or producer. If you're a vocalist, listen to the beat and spit over the part of the beat that appears like it was carved out for the hook, if there is one. If you're a producer, the trends now are to put hooks up front before the first verse.

Just some different advice. When I get stuck with problems like this, I like to listen to other artists’ tracks and pay attention to their structure.
Sometimes, I’ll even stick their tracks in the DAW, set the tempos, and add in markers for the intros, verses, and hooks so I can count the bars and see how they space everything out in their tracks

I would say with the attention span problems of today just do whatever is the most interesting part of your song first. With the thousands of songs dropping each week it has become very hard for the new upcoming artists to cut through.
This could be your hook, or your crazy sounding synthesizer outro or your best bars of your verse. I used to write songs as hook/verse/hook/verse/hook and you see this a lot in today's music

Nigel Rogers likes putting it up front. Good for pop music. Maybe indie rock you want to save it for later and let the song swell. Who knows. No right or wrong answer.

Sometimes I put a half hook to start the song, sometimes theres an intro verse chorus situation. Honestly its all about the vibe.

It's your music, place it wherever you like
