THG ingenuity - Just stay away from this company

This is a post to warn people valuing their own mental health and career to never working with THG.

  1. The worst workplace i have ever been a part of
  2. Do not join any of their divisions
  3. The managers are incompetent and are unable to handle a team of juniors who are equally incompetent.
  4. The management people will show you a big picture of the company's future, but the fact is it will close doors soon because of a simple reason, they just dont know how to run a company and manage people.
  5. People who cant find jobs anywhere else can be found here.
  6. The clueless management can throw you out or create situations to make you leave.

Just stay away!

New to Manchester- tuesday night ideas for birthday

My husband and I moved to Manchester two weeks ago. His birthday is tomorrow. Quite opposite to me, he likes to celebrate his birthdays in a big way. Back in our previous city, he would invite around 40,50 friends and have a big party or picnic.

In Manchester, we are yet to make friends. I think he is feeling quite nostalgic about this. So, I wanted to plan something for tomorrow. A bike ride during the day and ending with a nice restaurant with live music. He likes to try new restaurants and I think middle eastern or south east asian or a nice british pub would be my choices.

But, I am very bad at organizing. Any suggestions that people have for bike paths that are nice? And any restaurant suggestions in the city centre or towards southern/ southeast Manchester? Thank you in advance :)

Big bucket of them at the Odeon cinema upstairs in the Trafford Centre. The cleaning lady stood next to it said that following a recent promotion they'd ordered 6,000 packets instead of 600. Told us to take as many as we could carry.

Finding Temp Jobs

Hi I'm currently a student, and with the current state of job hunting finding a part-time is tough ofc. I was wondering if anyone knows anywhere I could apply for some temp jobs? Whether that be for Christmas time or just one-time jobs. Thanks.

New birdwatching group in Manchester!

Thumbnail linktr.ee
17 Upvotes

Hi everyone, just thought I would drop this in here. I’m looking to gauge interest in a new birdwatching group based in Manchester. We will be looking to run walks, events, and the occasional away day further afield, all with a birdy theme!

The group is aimed at younger adults, but everyone of all experience levels is welcome. The walks will be led by an experienced ornithologist so there will be plenty of opportunity to learn how to ID new species/calls/song/behaviours from each other.

Our (very new) Instagram handle is ‘mad.birders’, which will be the main communication method, but I’ve attached a link to all our stuff to this post.

Any questions/suggestions are welcomed, so please don’t hesitate to message me or leave a comment. Thanks for reading!

Is there anywhere in Manchester I can use Power Tools.

I have a Bass Guitar and I need to sand the headstock. It would be best done with a Sander and a Jigsaw. I have neither of these things! Is there somewhere you can go and pay to use these sorts of things?

Finding an admin type job in Manchester//Using agencies

Hii, I don’t know exactly where to ask this so I’m coming here since it’s my local. I’m a bachelors graduate looking for a job the work experience history of a newborn baby. I’m based in Manchester, I’m trying to find some sort of job that doesn’t require standing and walking, so likely an office or admin kind of job where I can work part time. I’m wondering whether I can sign up with agencies to have better chances of finding a job. What I wanted to ask is, do you guys know any Manchester based agencies that signing up with will help? Thank you 🫶
