The Ultimate Garlic Bread Tour - where are you stopping?
I have friends popping down to Manchester in November and I've been charged with organising a Garlic Bread Tour of Manchester! I'm now on a quest to find the best spots for GB. What place does the nicest garlic bread?

Bit out of the way but the garlic bread at Rigatonis (formerly Sugo) in Altrincham changed my life.

Sugo 3-4 years ago was absolutely amazing. Was my favourite restaurant in town at one point. Some utterly bizarre business choices saw it go through two rebrands in about a year and then closing down the city centre spot. They also switched to ‘small plates’ at some point as well - just what Manchester needed, another small plates restaurant. Felt bad for the owner because they clearly loved the place but they kept shooting themselves in the foot until they couldn’t hobble along anymore.

I second this, I’ve taken numerous friends and family members there purely to taste the garlic bread. All agreed it was incredible.

Oh mate this is a great idea and BOY are there some treats out there…
American Pies (IYKYK) Ramona (their pizza is average and over priced but their garlic bread was SO good) Rudys (dip it in their hot honey sauce) Leopard Pie Honey Butter Rings (possibly the best) Riva Blue (Decent for an afternoon snack with a good primitivo) Ciaooo (bit of a hidden gem) Albert Schloss (if you get it hot and prompt when it’s quiet it can be really good) Doms (their with tomato) Noi Quattro (this is quantity over quality, but nice enough and it IS massive tbf)
(You’ve got me very inspired I might do this myself for my birthday next yeah…!)

Not the best but hasn't been suggested yet - American Pies for their garlic bread bombs.

American Pies do a bangin one. Around Christmas they do one with bacon, brie and cranberry as well.

Unsure if it’s still as good, but years ago Akbars used to do a massive garlic naan. Was very good

This sounds really fun.
I can't help with a suggestion for good garlic bread, but why don't you start the day off by bringing a cheap frozen garlic baguette, dividing it up and toasting to a good time.
It's related to the theme and I bet it will make the proper garlic bread on the Ultimate Garlic Bread Tour taste even better.
