Anyone know if Youngscot ID is accepted in Manchester?

Gonna go to concert soon in Manchester, but I’m from Scotland and the only ID I have is a young Scot. Anyone knows if these are accepted in Manchester?

Most people will probably have never heard of one, so it'll really be up to the discretion of whomever is checking. I know they're not ideal to carry around but do you have a passport, as backup?

I'm a bartender, not a bouncer, but I would 100% refuse this as valid ID because I've never heard of it and only take IDs that I'm able to verify.

I wouldn't doubt that it's real but I would have no way to be sure when examining.

Also, training for bartenders (and I imagine bouncers also) indicates that anything other than a valid drivers license, passport, or citizen card should be refused.

You should try and get some other form of ID. Either DL or Passport.

Do they not train it with the pass hologram anymore?

I’ve never even heard of it before, so you’ll be lucky if it gets accepted in my opinion. You may have better luck with some student venues as they’re usually make forgiving when it comes to non-English/traditional IDs

Might be ok if it’s got a pass hologram, although I’ve seen plenty of bouncers turn away people with anything other than drivers license/passport.

If you have time get yourself a provisional driver’s licence. You just need to apply for it and then you can use it as ID. Also for official documents it is a proof of ID also proof of address. So not only for your Manchester trip but also in general it would really useful to you.

Doubt it sadly, normally only drivers license or passports are accepted

Mate, I'm from Manchester but now I live in Scotland. They don't even accept Young Scot cards up here. Get a citizen card.
