Mr Burke told The Telegraph that Altrincham is "one of the few places in the North West that I feel has the kind of vibe of a London suburb".
I'm not sure that's quite the positive this guy seems to think it is 🤔

Guy who lives behind me beats and whips his dog, horrible nasty man.
Reported to the RSPCA and nothing done for weeks, what can I do personally or locally to help. I fear for the dogs health.
Thanks

Gonna go to concert soon in Manchester, but I’m from Scotland and the only ID I have is a young Scot. Anyone knows if these are accepted in Manchester?

Hello! I’m going on a UK trip from the US with two of my best friends soon, and we’ll happen to be in Manchester for my birthday. Does anyone have any suggestions for fun things to do in Manchester? I’m looking for activities, restaurants, nightspots, or just anything 3 ladies in their late 20s would enjoy. Thanks!

Had a bump. Car still drives absolutely fine, and despite how it looks, doesn’t interfere at all with the back wheel. I just can’t seem to push the bumper back in myself and do worry that it’ll become a hindrance soon. Thanks in advance!

I have friends popping down to Manchester in November and I've been charged with organising a Garlic Bread Tour of Manchester! I'm now on a quest to find the best spots for GB. What place does the nicest garlic bread?

I've been searching for months for a venue for just a small birthday party and getting nowhere. The number we have just seems too small for renting out private rooms in most places in town. I'd prefer to be able to bring outside food but I'm happy to pay for the room hire and/or a bar tab or if they did buffets that'd be fine too. Preferably in town but I don't mind say south Manchester. It doesn't even need to be a whole room since it's only 10 of us, just somewhere at least semi private and relatively cosy. Any help is really appreciated ❤️
ETA: it's on a Sunday and everywhere seems to just be doing roasts which is not the vibe unfortunately, so preferably somewhere where we don't need to order that

Any good (or at least passing) all you can eat/buffet sushi or south east asian foods in the city centre or not too far out? Anything in Salford also up for.
Been craving serious sushi etc and I know that at the amount I want I can only afford an all you can eat style.
I've looked at Yo Sushi's menu and it looks good, but a bit dissapointed the scallops aren't available outside of selfridges (plus no hot food means im missing out on so much good stuff).

Hey everyone, I’m not Hindu, nor am I from Manchester; however, I’ve always been fascinated by Diwali and would love to experience the celebrations in Manchester this year during my visit in October.
Are there any popular events, festivals, or community gatherings related to Diwali happening around the city, or in a potentially popular Hindu temple that are open to the public?
I’d really appreciate any recommendations or tips on where I can join in the festivities! Thanks in advance! 🙏

I’m looking for 2-3 people in Manchester or Salford to join a DnD campaign that I’m about to start. You don’t need any previous experience in playing but it would be great if you could commit to weekly sessions in the evening of a weekday that suits everyone. Please message me if you’re interested and I’ll give you the campaign pitch!

Hey! I've injured my leg and standing for showers is harder. Going mamchester for a weekend just wondering what hotels (budget friendly) have bath tubs? Doesn't need to be luxury or anything but honestly just love the thought of being able to have a bath haha

I was wondering if anyone would want to hold football sessions where a group of people get together to play some football, dosent have to be purely competitive could just be a fun session where we could organise matches and hopefully if enough people would want to, could do 11 a side but even 5-7-9 a side or anything like that, i know there's a lot of pitches that are grass that don't require bookings and are free to use, please message me if interested and all ages and male and female all welcome

I have recently applied for their graduate marketing position but I cannot find any information online about people’s experience working for them. Does anyone have any experience or information about this company? Thank you!

Hey guys, me and a mate are out and about tonight but we’re both on a really tight budget… looking for a pub quiz to try and win a bar tab tonight. Anyone got any pub quiz recommendations? Central Manchester please 😎

Hello! I regularly use Manchester Central library, but I was hoping to explore different study spots which I could use :) Any recommendations would be highly appreciated. I know that majority of places are closed on Sundays, but does anyone know any places that remain open? Thank you once again :)))

I know whit worth park has a lovely outdoor gym but I was wondering if anyone knows of any decent outdoor gyms specifically with a good climbing or calisthenics equipment near the centre of Manchester? Or even a short bus journey out of Manchester?
Most cities in the UK have several but Manchester seems to be lacking

NGL I'm dreading it. Expect high percentage of people running around like headless chickens, screaming and so forth.

My husband and I moved to Manchester two weeks ago. His birthday is tomorrow. Quite opposite to me, he likes to celebrate his birthdays in a big way. Back in our previous city, he would invite around 40,50 friends and have a big party or picnic.
In Manchester, we are yet to make friends. I think he is feeling quite nostalgic about this. So, I wanted to plan something for tomorrow. A bike ride during the day and ending with a nice restaurant with live music. He likes to try new restaurants and I think middle eastern or south east asian or a nice british pub would be my choices.
But, I am very bad at organizing. Any suggestions that people have for bike paths that are nice? And any restaurant suggestions in the city centre or towards southern/ southeast Manchester? Thank you in advance :)
