Has anyone ever been able to get a response to a complaint/crime report about abuse from senior GMP officers?

I complained in May about serious (non-sexual) abuse from a chief superintendant in Rochdale earlier this year, but I'm still waiting for a reply.

The IOPC says they can't speed things up and that I should contact GMP's professional standards directorate for an update, but I've contacted them multiple times and got no response.

The IOPC also suggested calling 101, but 101 claim they can't deal with complaints.

Are they corrupt or just incompetent?

I've seen the strikes around the UK these days, I was wondering are the tram drivers in Manchester also striking or it's just buses and other areas? I have to take the trams to go somewhere tomorrow and ubers don't drop me near there.

Does anyone know how to get access to affordable counselling in South Manchester. I know they do a great job but £50 is a tad expensive for a 50 min appointment, especially when looking at this in long term. I presume NHS waiting lists are 6-12 months. Thanks

Hello all. My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to Manchester to get tattooed in the city. We are from the US, so we aren't familiar with the area and are looking for suggestions for some activities. Bonus points for anything gothic/alternative/metal-esque.

I've read up on a couple different locations already, but we will be staying for around a week and only made plans for about 2 days of the trip. I have friends popping down to Manchester in November and I've been charged with organising a Garlic Bread Tour of Manchester! I'm now on a quest to find the best spots for GB. What place does the nicest garlic bread?

I've been searching for months for a venue for just a small birthday party and getting nowhere. The number we have just seems too small for renting out private rooms in most places in town. I'd prefer to be able to bring outside food but I'm happy to pay for the room hire and/or a bar tab or if they did buffets that'd be fine too. Preferably in town but I don't mind say south Manchester. It doesn't even need to be a whole room since it's only 10 of us, just somewhere at least semi private and relatively cosy. Any help is really appreciated ❤️

ETA: it's on a Sunday and everywhere seems to just be doing roasts which is not the vibe unfortunately, so preferably somewhere where we don't need to order that
