I had to combine the districts for Nebraska and Maine. So I too the average of those two states for their result.

In the 1984 US presidential elections, Ronald Reagan (R) won 49 states, with only one state (Minnesota) won just barely by his opponent Walter Mondale (D). Mondale also won the District of Columbia.

As of 2025, this is the the last time a Republican won all of New England. This is also the last time a president has won all the states in both New England and the South.

Reagan's electoral votes were 525, while his opponent Mondale won only 13. It was a landslide victory for the Republicans.

The only state presenting a growth is Amapá in the far north region. I couldn't a reliable specific reason for it, but it seems to be related with it's strategic position in drug trafficking and the presence of illegal activities such as clandestine mining.
