This little tree on my street always got this bright red glowing leafs, but only on a single branch.

I absolutely love it and always wonder why this happens. Any ideas?

Saw these on a hike. They weren't on every tree but enough of them I noticed them. They were all pretty similar to this, I was thinking a sap sac or something maybe.

Father just planted these about two months ago and the Aspen's have some sort of burn on the leaves. Are these trees going to survive the coming winter?

What kind of vine would do good along this rock fence? Salt Lake County, UT. South side of the fence, North side of my yard? Thanks in advance. Really want to get some vines going here!

As the title says, we’re looking for some sort of privacy screen (doesn’t have to be immediate, so trees are on our radar) to block view of the neighbor.

Our house is the block of blue on the right, next to which is our septic tank and leach field. Of course the neighbor’s leach field is at the back of their property, right near to the property line! It’s about 50 feet between the two (measured via satellite and confirmed in person), but even then I think we should go with something that has a very conservative roof system that would spread maybe 30 feet…? 20?

Ideas? It sucks that the leach fields are kind of sandwiching the only plantable part of that side of our yard. I’m in central Ohio and would like to plant native trees, ideally.

Just planted this about a week or two ago. It's maybe 7 to 10 ft tall and it came from a big chain store. We got a bunch of rain right after I planted it for a few days and some of the leaves get hit by our sprinklers. Is this fungus or some insect feeding on the tree or what? What should I do about it, or should I just leave it be.

Its planted in the Seattle area and not a native species. It has three needles per bundle. The needles are about 10 inches long. I think its a jeffrey pine but im not sure. Apologies for not getting a picture of the bark.

Went to Bartram’s Garden today for the first time. I’m not sure how old this Franklinia is but it’s descended from the seeds the Bartrams collected in the wild as are all Franklinias in cultivation today.

The scent of the flowers reminds me a little of vanilla.

After picking peaches, I got to looking at the tree. It has a rather heavy lean, any thoughts on how I can pull it back to vertical?

I recently started renting a house in central Texas with a lovely garden and made a deal with the owner that I'd maintain it.

There's a peach tree in the yard that is probably between 5-10 years old that looks to me like it's struggling but tree care is new to me. (Ive been reading up) I've watered it 1x/week through the month of August.

Today I decided to work on re-mulching it, since it seemed to be in a deeper pile of mulch than I realized. I exposed some of the roots and it looked like part of the base was rotting (last pic). I don't want to damage the tree, so I'm wondering what my next step should be!

TLDR: 5-10y/o peach tree appeared to be rotting at the base when I pulled mulch away from the roots. what now?

Recently transplanted a Bloodgood Maple tree from our front yard that was getting too much sun. In its place, I'd like to plant an oak tree since it will be the predominant specimen tree in our front yard, and it seems very stately. I also like the idea of planting a native tree for my area that will long outlive us. I'm in zone 7a/7b in southern NJ.

The planting location is in full sun on a slight slope, with the bottom of the slope being where water drains between my property and my neighbors. I'd say the soil is moist and loamy. It is 30' from my house's foundation. The area is surrounded by turf grass (I will be sure to provide a mulch ring around the drip line) that gets infrequent irrigation, so it would not be susceptible to drought.

The varieties that are sold at my local nursery that I am considering:

Northern Red Oak - our state tree in NJ, main concern would be if the soil is too moist.

Swamp White Oak - should handle the wetter soil, but unsure about full sun. We love the look of the peeling bark.

Willow Oak - same as swamp White Oak, but doesn't seem to have as pretty of bark.

Pin Oak - nursery owner cautioned against because apparently they are susceptible to a disease/pest in our area

If an oak tree is just not a good idea of this planting site, I would also consider a Red Maple. I'm trying to avoid that though as I have already planted 2 of those in the back yard and would prefer some variety.

I've been looking for it quite some time and I want to buy from an EU country so I don't have to bother with paying extra and just hassle with phytosanitary certificates, I love conifers and managing to grow one of my own would be a dream

This summer Ive been trying to cut down on the overgrowth around my yard and discovered this poor, Im assuming, Northern White Cedar with a PHAT poison ivy vine that kinda split off into two (all of that furry bit is the poison ivy) . Is there any way I can save this trunk? I just absolutely love the look of this tree, and we dont have a bunch of Cedars around here so I just want help keep it here as long as possible. And today I am cleaning out that center cavity as well as those smaller vines, I just wanted to post this so hopefully when Im done doing that basic clean up I have some answers on here. Added close up pictures of the leaves just in case my identification is wrong! Feel free to lmk if you need any other pictures as well.

This is a white ash tree and every year literally starting around august 20th, it’s leaves turn maroon and it starts going dormant from the top down. All the other white ash trees here hold out almost a whole month later before they start showing signs of entering dormancy. Why does this tree keep starting early? Is it genetics? Is it under a lot of stress from EAB? I can’t say for certain but the roots might be partially in wetland so maybe that’s why? But some of the other ash trees are too so I don’t know.

These are on my commute and I always wondered. The bark is soft and comes out easily. But looking online for examples and the leafs don't look the same? Unfortunately, I couldn't take a closer photo of the leafs.

I’ve grown quite fond of this cherry tree in my yard in Maine. I would like to know more about it. Pictures shown are starting today and going backwards in time to the spring. I’ve gathered that it might be a black cherry tree? Last year it barely fruited and this year it has exploded with fruit. The birds and other critters have been going to town on the cherries this week. Are they edible for humans? Can I plant the seeds to grow my own or propagate it in some other way? I currently rent and have dreams of having my own yard someday, and I think I would really love to have a cherry tree. Any info about this tree would be much appreciated!

I have a juniper and 2 olive trees that need repotting, will this soil work?

These trees are located in Cornwall at my grandmas farm, we had a tree guy come in and he couldn’t do them. There used to be a whole row of them looking at old photos of the farm.
