Scammed by Memphis Laser Clinic and Dr Sam Sadler
I still can't believe this office just up and closed without even attempting to refund their patients who had purchased large expensive service packages.
I bought a laser tattoo removal package from Memphis Laser Clinic and was told in writing it would not expire until September of this year. The treatments have to be spaced out anyway because you have to wait for it to heal between each laser removal session.
Anyway I attempted to schedule my next appointment several months ago and found out they had closed. It looks like the only warning they gave was a couple of social media posts and they did not attempt to contact any members.
I tried to contact their office and Dr Sadler but of course haven't received any reply. I feel scammed.
I attempted to reverse the unused portion through my credit card company but because it was purchased more than 90 days ago they can't. They told me to get an attorney, which I'm going to do.
I just feel scammed and really disappointed. I can't afford to start this process over again.

Pet Rescue Foster or adoption needed ASAP
⚠️Emergency foster/adoption needed. She’s a one-year-old lab-pit that was surviving in the parking lot of a Church’s chicken in Oakhaven. She was so scared when I caught her yesterday, but she immediately became affectionate when she realized she was safe.
She loves to hug, kiss, and cuddle. The kind of dog that wants to crawl inside you with love.
She’s already had one litter of puppies and is pregnant again. I have a $150 spay scheduled for September 2nd so she doesn’t have to go through labour again at such a young age. I’m willing to pay for the spay if the adopter/foster cannot.
I do not have space for her presently and need an adopter or foster ASAP. Otherwise she will have to go to Memphis Animal Services. She has not had any accidents in the house and waits to go potty outside.
She is clingy and needs someone to cling back.

Vehicle registration problems
I bought a car out of state in July, and the dealership mailed the documents to Shelby County end of July, and can confirm they were received via FedEx on July 28. But the county is saying they didn’t “start action” until August 11, and since they have begun a process for mailed registration, my trip to the office was a waste of time - they wouldn’t assist me whatsoever, in spite of having every single piece of documentation in hand. I was told I had to “wait like everyone else” and to expect my plates in MID NOVEMBER. Wtf.
My temp tags expire third week of September. If I can’t physically get the plates until 2 freaking months later, what can I do? Do I have any options? Since the dealer is about 14 hours away, I can’t exactly pop by and get a new temp tag, and the county clerk’s office is in such extreme shambles that even with taking a full day off work and standing in their stupid long line, I can’t just have someone hand me a plate.
I don’t want to be the asshole driving around on expired tags, but I also don’t really see a choice. I don’t understand how it could possibly take an estimated four months from the date received, and three months from their “start action” date, whatever the hell that means, to pop a plate in the mail with a sheet of paper and some stickers. It’s a month out but I need to know if I just have to keep my beloved new car parked for awhile. Husband and I do have two cars, but I’m worried about the “what if” where he has the registered car and there’s an emergency at home.
I know the clerk’s office has been an ongoing nightmare for some time, and this is my second insane issue with them (first was when they demanded a dead man’s signature on a title for a car, that was super fun), and it seems like absolutely nothing is improving. Am I gonna get a wild ticket if I can prove I did everything right? Is this something where I can go to court and plead my case if I do get a ticket? I’ve got a perfect driving record and I don’t want to tarnish it, or get the car I’ve been dying to have since I was a kid impounded.
Any advice? And also, anything anyone can do to make the county clerk’s office not a nightmare?

Ticket & court date! Really worried!
I received a ticket recently for running a red light and the officer who pulled me over kindly let me know my tags were out of date. I received a court date for both on the ticket and the officer informed to go get my tags immediately and they may throw that one out. According to him it happens quite regularly that people forget to renew their tags.
This is my first court summons and I my first traffic ticket so I am a bit worried about the outcome.
Ps: the stop was not long and the officer seemed like a cool dude.

U of M Gameday Experience
I’m making my first trip to the University of Memphis for a football game at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium. My friend got random tickets and we’re both pretty unfamiliar with how Memphis does game day. I’ve done college tailgates in Texas (U of Texas, TCU, Baylor), but I get the feeling UofM is a totally different scene.
Can anyone give advice or tips for the whole experience? Specifically curious about:
Parking: What’s the best strategy? Do people usually pay for lots closer in, uber or shuttle? Any secret spots or things to avoid?
Tailgating: Where do most people hang out—are there official student tailgates, or is it more spread out in the lots?
Bars & Eats: Any great bars or restaurants nearby, or spots to hit before/after the game? Recommendations for places with a fun crowd and good food would help. Buffalo Wild Wings and Huey’s came up in some posts, but want to know what’s most fun during Memphis game day!
Vibe & Traditions: Anything Memphis-specific that’s a must-see (special entrances, spirit squads, etc.)? Any traditions or game day stuff that’s unique and shouldn’t be missed?
We’re both new to the Tigers scene, so ANY thoughts from Memphis regulars, especially compared to Texas (U of Texas, TCU, Baylor) tailgates, are appreciated. Thanks y’all!

Question about court
Hey y’all, I have to go to court tomorrow at 201 for expired tags. Does anyone know if they allow head wraps to be worn in court? I’ve never been but I know certain places have an issue with it

Citizen Inquiry Can someone ELI5 the MPD 2nd Lieutenant promotion thing to me?
Why is this so controversial? Is this simply a matter of saying to a McDonald's fry cook, "Congratulations, you have been promoted to 2nd Assistant Shift Leader! Now get back to slinging fries!" I don't understand the context here.

Does Silky’s still have goats?
Do they still have goats? If they do, did the goats ever leave?
If they did leave, where did they go? I woke up this morning with so many questions. I haven’t had drinks there since college and I only remember it in a drunken haze 😂😂

Why are food orders always wrong?
Old man screaming at th clouds here. But what is up with food orders being wrong most of the time. Is it some kind of joke? Is it on purpose. It's basically any kind of chain restaurant on door dash, you're not getting your order. If someone in the industry could help me understand.
Edit, this was ordered through the Pizza Hut app.
I think this would be a great item for a news story. Just go to local fast food places, make a simple order, and see what happens. I'm a youtuber. I may just do it myself.
