Snapchat now puts a watermark on saved photos

Have a great photo of my wife, the dog, and me. Then noticed the Snapchat logo as a watermark >:(

I've had the 3a for a month, after having the OnePlus 5 for almost 8 years. Great phone, case selection is terrible.

Really? I feel like android phones get a lot of custom case options. Almost as many, if not more than iphone cases. At least, my samsung does. Maybe it's cus Nothing is still a growing brand. Or maybe it's a region thing idk

Yeah back in the day it was pretty crap but if you stick to the big name phones these days (Samsung, google, etc) it’s pretty much the same as iPhone . Relatively niche phones still, naturally, struggle for 3rd party case adoption

Tbf. They had dark mode long before android, which was locked behind snapchat plus until last year 🙄. Ridiculous

I set Snapchat to have a specific sound on Android and it kept changing it back to the default sound. Very unfortunate. You do have to pay to have individual contacts have their own unique sounds though. Regardless of OS

This is the moment when Android supremacy reigns once again, you can change individual notification sounds straight from the android side of Snapchats settings, no need to pay for anything, as it should be.

as an android user i can confidently say that this is wrong and that snapchat will just reset notification sound preferences from the app if you modify it

edit: turns out it doesn't do that on every phone i guess

Pay for it once and find the one you want to keep, it stays permanently, same with chat wallpapers and some of the other personalisation things, i just paid for it once got my stuff set the way i like it and kept it since

I understand it's a free country and it's none of my business blah blah blah. But you have publicly gone out and endorsed doing something I disagree with. I am going to endorse the opposite position. No one should be giving these people money. If you give them money you're a chump. The minute I have to pay a subscription to get basic functionality is the minute i cancel.

I heard you say you had a subscription. I'm assuming it costs money. I disagree with that unprinciple and I am voicing that you did it, that I heard that you did it, I don't agree that you should be doing it, and I'm going to make noise about how I don't think you should have done it and how I don't think anyone should be doing it.

Unless somehow your subscription was free?

Maybe I misunderstanding you and you didn't give them money, but if you did give them money and you just endorsed giving them money to make some changes,.. Well then I disagree that that's good advice in any event

Oh no no no You don't get to give something that's stupid oxygen and then get offended when somebody says hey that's really dumb. You gave that oxygen so you get to hear that other people have dissenting opinions. It's a free country you can do whatever the hell you want but I'm telling you right now in my opinion the solution to this kind of behavior isn't to give them money so you can make changes, the solution is to just not pay them and walk away.

You're the only other person I've ever heard of who's used paid Snapchat. I only had it for a month when my partner bought it for me as a gag gift and pretended that was my birthday present.

Yea I get that. I've still got the background with my partner too. I didn't realise it was from when I had a subscription. Surprised we're all still using Snapchat when apps like Whatsapp do things like that for free.

Eh i just dont like going through the hassle of making a new account and checking if all of my people use that app, along with sending them my info, its just an inconvenience and i dont mind snapchat, i dont like some of the stuff but the stuff i dont like i dont use or look at so im happy
