It probably doesnt look as great because of the wide angles and no shaders. I wanted to show off as much as i can with as little screenshots as possible + my laptop is pretty weak.

There is quite a lot around, you spawn next to the village, theres a mineshaft, dripstone cave and ancient city pretty much right under the peaks and a dark oak forest, spruce forest and birch forest nearby. It could make an epic forever world seed!

what is good about ancient city being below? Do you like them for a rreason?

decent loot, best armor trim, and interesting spot to explore mid-game without having to go search for it

Yeah, this sums it up pretty much for me as well.

Ive had playthroughs and servers with friends on which we never found an ancient city, even though we were deliberately searching for it. So having one on spawns can be pretty cool.
