Can anyone give me info on the music in this track?

I know most (if not all) of the music used on this album was pre-existing which McAlmont added lyrics and vocals to, but I can’t place the music in this track. Can anyone clue me in if it was written for the album or if it’s a song buried in Nyman’s discography?

I’ve made this minimalistic StudyList for the last decade, when I started to read for my thesis. It has 1000+ songs of relaxing ambient music. I would like suggestions to similar music if you have your own ambient playlist or some artists you would like to recommend:) Feel free to follow the playlist if you like

Wandelweiser - minimal music for 10 instruments

Wandelweiser is an 8–9 minute experimental minimalist piece for a ten-piece chamber ensemble. Inspired by the Wandelweiser collective’s focus on silence, fragility, and slow contemplation, it offers a soft, homogeneous sound. The title means “Guide to Change.” Slow, soft and very homogeneous, this is not for the impatient. It rather invites listeners to linger.

New Sounds champions minimalism among other things

Hate to be one of those people, but my new project is all about furiously precise phase patterns. They’re playing my newest piece on W N Y C‘s New Sounds program tonight! several other pieces are complete or near-complete. One of the guiding principles of this new project is “what if Steve Reich had never abandoned electronics as he proudly did in 1970?”

Phase Music Recommendations

I’m looking for more examples of phase music a la Steve Reich’s early works, “Come Out”, “Piano Phase” etc. What should I check out?

Embroidery loops seamlessly for 2 hours, with the song slowly being eroded by a very long reverb.

What if Steve Reich hadn’t abandoned electronics? (He proudly left behind his Phase Shifting Pulse Gate at the beginning of the 1970s.) By the time the classic minimalists could phase with sample-accurate precision, they had already given up--having long since gone all-in on live musicians. Noble. But they left something on the table. Joshua Fried is picking it up. And finding a vast, almost fractal terrain of mind-melting patterns.

Fried also found a way to bend time as fluidly as Phase Patterns or Drumming without losing the pulse. So it's also kinda like drugged-out digital Philip Glass. But really, it's all Joshua Fried, dating back to his Howard Johnson/Affirmative of the '80s. Track was mastered by Scott Hull (Steely Dan, David Bowie).
