Got scammed by accommodation in Dobrota - Amigo Apartments
Hey, i just spent a couple of days in Montenegro and Bosnia and have to say that these countries were one of the most beautiful i've ever been to. The mountains, rivers and sea were magnificent and i enjoyed talking with the local people. However, i was left with a bitter taste, realising that the accommodation host in Dobrota, a guy called Jasmin, scammed us. The place is called Amigo Apartment.
We booked via booking and got charged, but the money was not immediately taken and was reserved to be pulled at any time. We arrived at the accommodation after a loooong drive and were exhausted, so we wanted to be left in private to rest. This guy Jasmin, says we need to pay him cash and when i say we already did, he showed me his booking.com app that said it needs to be paid in cash and after we checked our app got confused and just gave him the money. Turns out we were charged via the card, and because we gave him cash and got no receipt booking, it says there is no proof of getting double billed and won't refund us.
Is there anything i can do or report him to some office in Montenegro? I understand i can't prove anything, so maybe reporting will not help at all. At this point i let go of the money but want to get some justice and make this guy's life a little miserable.
