They're not being paid 35h of work a month AND they need to deal with people like you... Btw, they are professionals trained to respond to emergency situations: onboard fire, unruly passenger, emergency evacuation, medical. So, while you're drinking your coke, they might be in the back saving the life of a passenger in crisis.

I highly doubt they are trying to save someone at the back,most likely doing gossip or talking about their schedule and why they didn't get the Paris route.
