Other people on the internet will never successfully motivate you. Even if they post something that you find motivating, it's only because you identified with it internally.

I've found that when people look outward to fix something within, it's usually because they've allowed themselves to accept the premise that we are creatures who need permission from "the group" to feel basically anything at all. But you are an individual, and you are an (albeit smart) animal. Accept that side of yourself, the part concerned with feeling and instinct, and you will become whole and more powerful. Feel angry! Sad! Passionate! Accept your internal guide and follow it, because no one else's internal guide can dictate your actions. And when you do, you'll naturally do what feels right, and be honest, does being in shape feel right? I bet it does.

If you want anything as a guide, I love the quote "I would rather be ashes than dust." Burn bright, because a dim candle will die out in due time just as much as a torch will. Choose which to be.

Thank you. I have had some problems before doing what others wanted me to do and not truly listening to what I want. But I know what I want. I want to get healthy. I want to touch my toes and not have to bend my knees and I want to be able to get stronger physically and mentally. And if I turn to ash I might as well burn bright. And if I get lucky maybe I'll be a phoenix or whatever it is that rises from the ashes.

There are hundreds and thousands of reasons to not do something. There are hundreds and thousands of reasons to do something.

There is only one true reason. How bad do you want it?

Hmm, if you're having trouble keeping track of your spouses I can see why calorie counting could be a problem.
