Someone needs to come up with an aftermarket solution to this very specific challenge. I have a think plastic burlap bag from previous firewood that I carry now and can fill and strap down, but itβs inelegant.

Im thinking like a hard plastic yoga mat almost with handles at each end - then I could wrap up the firewood, but still smoosh it flat when not using? I guess kinda like a regular firewood carrier lol.

On the way to the Cold Kiwi motorcycle rally one year, there was a motorbike ahead of us on the road that looked like it had a really heavy-set pillion passenger - it was, in fact, a couple of really large panniers on each side and a tower of bags and boxes on the tail rack and rear seat that obscured all view of the rider...
That glorious load reminds me of it for some reason...

Thats funny lol. Honestly this is kind of a light load π¬ I learned quickly to be a bit more careful going uphill over some railroad tracks with a downhill on the otherside lol almost lost my frying pan!

Looks like you've got everything you need. Unlike that same Cold Kiwi, when I got to the rally site and was about to set up my tent, looked around at other riders who had arrived before me, saw that most of them were relaxing in folding chairs beside their tents, looked at the very empty section of tail rack behind my own tent and thought, "fuck! Should'a' thought to bring my folding chair!"
