A few photos from recent trips and my setup

Here’s my 2007 Yamaha fz6 s2, it’s been my daily for a year and a half so far. It’s done trackdays, commuting, and lately it’s been doing some motocamping, and Im hooked. No longer do I have to try get to a location I want to ride, spend time there and ride back in a day. The setup is a cheap 30L Oxford bag, 4 rokstraps to hold it to the rear pegs, a givi st611 tankbag for often used essentials, a vango Orion 200 2 man tent, highlander serenity 350 bag, cheap sleep mat (next upgrade). Sea to summit pillow, and extra misc. the 30L bag is “enough” but I would advise anyone to go to the 45L for the slight extra in price. Hope to post more stuff soon. Also yeah, the cap stays put behind the strap

I love that setup. That bike is light and small enough you could even do some light adv style trails with the right tires.

I can't decide which I like more: bikes that are incredibly good at what they were built for, or bikes that are genuinely useful for almost anything.

Your setup looks fun, and that's the point right? 👍

For real, it’s a great “go everywhere do anything (within reason)” bike. I’ve done basic gravel and rock trails with it when following friends a few times, but on the twisties it comes alive. Even with the weight on the back, it just wants to go and tip in so well. I bet it gets some funny looks when you can hear a 4 cylinder screaming at 14k rpm, and then I come by with all my luggage strapped up 😁.

I’ve been looking at the Dirtsack Erupt v2, 2x24L bags. Not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive. My main reason is I’ve been on a scooter for the past 8 years and am only just graduating to a real bike, despite doing my licence over 10 years ago. I’m thinking I need to learn to walk, before I can run so low down weight will make the bike a little easier to handle as an alternative to stabilisers

Dude the dirtsack erupt looks like a really good value rackless system. I’m looking to get a crf rally next year and was looking at the offerings from mosko and kreiga, dirtsack is now on my radar too. 🤙

Dirtsack had a stand at this year’s ABR Festival and I got to see and feel the quality of the kit. It felt tough and well made, far better than the Rhinowalk I had been considering. I also like the bag-in-a-bag design to make it easy to pack and to remove when needed
