Best American rock band of all time

This is obviously a subjective post. As post suggest “all time” so feel free to go back to to the 50’s and please consider that bands from this millennium may not hold up in a couple decades. Also genre blending bands welcome.

Been listening to and enjoying their music my whole life… What an absolute revelation seeing them live a few years back… Incredible show!

Ooooh!! Good one. Another im ashamed to say that didnt come to mind. I loved that time when R&B/Soul music consisted of actual bands. Also a time when the list of white American soul singers was much longer than it is today. (Before anyone responds to the race reference, please know that im black, American, 62 y/o, and an RB/Soul music fan who's just pointing out a fact of the times...Doobies/Michael McDonald, Darryl Hall, KC, Bobby Caldwell, Wild Cherry...and many more). But i dgress. Love the DBs yesterday and today.
