Best American rock band of all time

This is obviously a subjective post. As post suggest “all time” so feel free to go back to to the 50’s and please consider that bands from this millennium may not hold up in a couple decades. Also genre blending bands welcome.

He had some secret show in the late 90s. Too go you had to be at the venue. Pay cash for the ticket and get a braclet that gets you into the show the next day. Was right by the place so said “why not” top 3 concert in my life.
