Murderino Community Am I Crazy?

I admit that often the rewind episodes are background noise, but, early on there was an episode where they said they took a break because Georgia got married and Karens mom died, I don’t remember hearing that.

I just listened to this weeks episode and (I believe) in the original episode there was a big discussion about how you can’t say hobo and karen says why and georgie says because, and Karen says she needs a reason, but that’s all cut out.

Does anyone else remember this?

Yeah, it happened. Also, I believe they corrected themselves later. Calling them hobos is acceptable, because it’s what they call(ed) themselves.

Yes, this was an ongoing discussion over a few episodes. G kept saying that she’d heard it was not good to say and K was surprised because she thought of hobo as a more wholesome, comic figure - someone with a bindle, riding the rails, etc. Eventually they felt satisfied that it wasn’t a slur.

The week they missed was when G got married. K went to a memorial service for her mother that same week, though her mother had passed a month or two earlier. This was never mentioned explicitly on MFM when it happened (that I can recall) but it was mentioned on DYNAR.

It was definitely mentioned cause I’ve never listened to DYNAR, and I remember the conversation, at least a little.

When they took the week off, G says hesitantly “Karen’s mom died.” That’s as explicit as it got, is what I mean. They didn’t talk about it when her mother actually died, which is fine. I’m sure K doesn’t necessarily want to talk about it in every situation.
