Pentheus and (hopefully) Hippolytus were adults in their stories.

Anyway these stories have lots of death everywhere. Women (and specially poor, disposable nymphs) are just more exposed to the sexual horrors.

I guess it's because there's no offspring to legitimate potential claims on her throne
