Eurydice says something. Orpheus turns back: "Sorry, what did you say? Couldn't hear you with you behind me."

Everyone misses the point of him turning around. It's not that he was an idiot for looking back. It's that, by his very nature, he couldn't help but look back. If he had the strength to keep moving forward without dwelling on the past, he wouldn't have gone to the underworld in the first place. Hades knew this, which is why it wasn't really a test or deal at all. The outcome was inevitable.

Don’t forget he’s traveling to the underworld for her spectre because he was too cowardly to take his own life to be reunited in that way

Eurydice: "Hey Orpheus, there is a hole in your pants."

Orpheus: "Eh? Really? Where?" Turns head to check

Oedipus is the one who fucked his mom right? Or am I missing the joke?

You're right, I got my mythological names starting with O and ending with us mixed up (I'm very tired). I corrected it.

Thanks for the heads-up.

It’s not a true tragedy, they both end up together in hell
