Petition for playoff fixes posts

I've seen a lot of these posts, but let's keep it clear. This flawed and gimmicky points system has existed for 20+ years, and even if the most illegitimate driver like Joey Logano wins the championship, but no matter if we even try brainwashing the executives in NASCAR, the playoffs won't go away.

My petition is for the mods in this subreddit to delete any posts about playoff fixes, because they're getting too overused and they won't help with anything

Anyone else happy that this race actually finished cleanly in regulation time?

Call me a cynic, but given how plate tracks (I still call Daytona and Talladega that - sue me) have gone these past few years, I was genuinely expecting this race to have at least 3 attempts at a green-white-checkered in order to stir up some drama, but instead we got a genuinely exciting finish where the drivers finally found the balance between aggression and discipline that guys like Jeff, Jimmie, Junior, and Smoke had back in the glory days. I'd love it if more races end up like this going forwards because if they do, there might just be hope for all the rich, entitled little brats coming into the sport yet.

After having ten top 20 finishes in the first half of his season, Ricky Stenhouse Jr is now looking at falling below 30th in the points.

HYAK looked very impressive for the first half of the season, with RSJ having some fast cars. Since Michigan however, they’ve only mustered one top 20 finish, that being their sixth place finish at Atlanta.

What does the future of HYAK and Ricky Stenhouse Jr look like?

Is NASCAR Still About Talent?”

I can’t help but feel like the truly talented drivers get ignored these days. NASCAR has turned into nothing but corporations looking for moving billboards. They don’t care about the guys with raw skill, scraping together every dime just to run a stock car at the local short track.

Instead, they sign the mid-skill rich kids. Why? Because it’s cheaper. Sponsors don’t want to risk funding someone who could lose everything after one bad wreck. A rich kid doesn’t have that problem—their family bankrolls it, and the sponsor still gets their advertising space without footing the bill.

It’s sad to watch what the sport has become. Maybe it sounds cliché, but honestly… NASCAR died with Dale Earnhardt.

What do you all think? Has NASCAR lost its heart, or is this just the reality of modern motorsports?

[Christie] Arguing on the No. 51 radio. Spotter is questioned on why he didn't tell Ware to pit before the lap they were pitting. Spotter says he didn't hear when they were pitting. The team called BS and said that they heard the crew chief tell him, and heard him say copy.

Kyle Larson's Superspeedway surprise trend in 2025, 3 Stage Wins at all three tracks & a 9.6 Average finish this year. Do you think he'll ever win at a superspeedway?

Post image
90 Upvotes

This year has been a strange year to watch Kyle Larson's overall season, with how much he has struggled on road courses this year, yet how much he has improved at superspeedways, given his reputation of never finishing well there.

Getting three stage wins, two top 5's, three top 10 tens, and a worst finish of only 20th at the Daytona 500 and averaging 35 points scored per race, while on the road courses he's averaged less then 10 points a race and has an average finish of 31th, all despite winning 2 of the 5 road courses last year.

What are your thoughts? Will he ever will a superspeedway, for some reason he has improved vastly in being able to give good pushes and save fuel for pit strategy.

I love the emphasis they are putting on the spotters tonight

I think NBC is doing a great job at putting emphasis on the spotters. From showing TJ Majors spotting, to Coleman Presleys spotting. Its great detail and thoughts put into it

Why did everyone move out of Preece's lane at the end?

They were anticipating it on air and it happened. I'm not sure why his lane in particular but it left him out to dry and he fell all the way back. I don't know if the other lanes were faster but I did hear something about if Larson took the risk to move over he had his teammates behind him to help.
