As they should be.

Because they harbored and aided a fugitive who murdered his girlfriend.

u/Shufflen Feb 19 '25

Still are, I don’t believe that was his skull.

Stop, they confirmed it with dental records.

They said alligators were attacking the dogs while they were searching and the area was underwater meaning there were probably some fish milling about too. A bunch of fish could've easily picked the bones clean.

I am willing to speculate that the parents dumped the remains during their search, but they were being followed closely by police IIRC and that wouldn't explain it being only skeletal.

u/yestoness Feb 20 '25

The autopsy report mentions evidence of extensive large animal gnaw marks on his long bones. That makes me morbidly happy.

1

u/ThisThingIsStuck Feb 20 '25

They didn't dump anything lmao

3

u/tiffanaih Feb 20 '25

Yeah that's what I said.

0

u/ThisThingIsStuck Feb 20 '25

Actually not

1

u/Hiro007 Feb 23 '25

She said it was speculative and gave reason that the theory didn't hold water, but continue being obtuse.

u/ThisThingIsStuck Feb 23 '25

Triangle?

u/Hiro007 Mar 09 '25

Lol. Sad I missed this perfect reply. Bless your heart.

Still are, I don’t believe that was his skull.

Just shut up. So f****ing done with fielding clown conspiracy theorists like this everywhere I turn on the internet.

20

u/Spunkyzoe99 Feb 19 '25

Right !??? It’s out of control now .critical thinking is all but lost .people now ignore the facts in front of them and make up the most wild theories and run with it

25

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '25

You might need to turn the internet off for a while then.

12

u/BlackLodgeBrother Feb 19 '25

You mean like so many have turned off their brains in favoring conspiracy over concrete fact?

6

u/JudgeInteresting8615 Feb 20 '25

Or they fight for their space. You can't keep on ignoring stupidity. It affects all of us.We can't just keep on giving up space

Can you not say fucking here?

Edit: you can, weird self censor

If I do talk to text, it automatically censors it

You don't have to respond brother Jesus

7

u/BlackLodgeBrother Feb 19 '25

Baseless conspiracy peddlers deserve to be rebuked.

-1

u/jopparoad Feb 20 '25

I mean...you are on Reddit right now.

-12

u/amscraylane Feb 19 '25

I will always welcome theorists so we don’t just take things for face value. Question everything.

14

u/BlackLodgeBrother Feb 19 '25 edited Feb 19 '25

There’s a stark difference between finding conspiracy in everything and judicially applied critical thinking.

Truth matters. Ignoring it in favor of “alternative” facts, even for funsies, is how we got into the current mess we’re in as a country.

-1

u/amscraylane Feb 19 '25

Fair.

Guy goes missing for a few weeks. When they have the search at the park, the family finds the body within minutes even though police have dogs on the scene.

The body is decomposed, but the notebook and pictures seem to be fine? Parents also found that.

I get it is far-fetched, but I don’t think it is wild to think otherwise

6

u/BlackLodgeBrother Feb 19 '25

The skull was confirmed to be his by the FBI. Dental records don’t lie. Anyone who refuses to believe that it’s Laundrie at this point is the epitome of willful ignorance.

0

u/amscraylane Feb 19 '25

I have a mom on this thread telling me she would do anything to protect their child, so I don’t think it is out of the realm of possibility.

There are also times when the FBI has made mistakes.

I am not Sandy Hooking it here, or telling you you have to believe it.

5

u/BlackLodgeBrother Feb 19 '25

Once again, stating abject belief in a given conspiracy and leaving room for the improbable are not the same thing.

It’s possible that I’ll sprout wings tomorrow and then proceed to fly directly into the sun.

Do I believe it will happen? No. Am I open to it? Sure.

33

u/gorcbor19 Feb 19 '25

I haven't watched it, but what makes you think the remains weren't his?

I am unaware if they positively ID'd his body with dental records.. though it seems like something they would have done.

70

u/BlackLodgeBrother Feb 19 '25

I haven’t watched it, but what makes you think the remains weren’t his?

Wider cultural sickness in America leading to low media literacy and lack of critical thought. Also the rise of grifter culture peddling conspiracy as a source of income.

22

u/gorcbor19 Feb 19 '25

I looked it up after asking this question, and it the skull was confirmed his via dental records by the FBI.

13

u/BlackLodgeBrother Feb 19 '25

You are correct. Was just stating why some people come embrace ungrounded conspiracy in the face of concrete fact.

1

u/gorcbor19 Feb 19 '25

Yes, makes perfect sense.

-1

u/ThisThingIsStuck Feb 20 '25

They love to make up their own theories they want to to right get likes or say what they think will get them thumbs up and feed their egos.. typical for any platform.. I speak facts regardless of likes. They were both mentally and physically abusive and weren't a gold fit. Cops dropped the ball and he was very creepy. He didn't like her recording the trip and hoped they'd be alone and enjoy it.. to him she ruined the trip and then cheated on him w rose and as they had a romantic walks on the beach whole he watched and slumber parties romps on the sac. So he was already half way over the edge.. then he slams the door at whole foods has zero contact and doesn't even look at her there.. wacks her shortly after that.. calls the guy ans texts her mom pretending to be her. Not sure there much else to talk about.. u can rest assured if it was his sister it wouldn't even have made the news.. u should be talking about why so called beautiful blondes get all the coverage but peope of color or people who aren't socially accepted gets denadas..

15

u/Phisiii Feb 19 '25

What a mid-wit thing to say…

16

u/Faile-Bashere Feb 19 '25

Is he still living under their garden out back?

5

u/Similar-Tangerine Feb 19 '25

Whose skull was it? Where did they get it? Who helped them get it? Who planted the skull in advance?

29

u/TangeloPerfect7383 Feb 19 '25

I have wondered that also. The parents move around with such arrogance that it wouldn’t surprise me if they one upped everyone. Perhaps that last minute camping trip they took as a family was an off the grid game plan

12

u/gorcbor19 Feb 19 '25

I bet on that camping trip, they invited their dentist friend, who yanked all his teeth out and they replaced them in a skull they dug up from a graveyard so that when they did the dental records, it made it seem like it was his body! 🤣

/s of course..

-4

u/amscraylane Feb 19 '25

I am not against thinking this. The family went to great lengths to protect him and then he just went missing too? Totally sus

15

u/JesusTitsGunsAmerica Feb 19 '25

He's not missing though.

They found him, with a bullet through his skull.

The dental records were an exact match.

If you have actual evidence to the contrary, by all means share it.

5

u/Spunkyzoe99 Feb 20 '25

People refuse to believe actual facts anymore.its wild the nonsense they prefer to believe .There should be a study on why and what types of people prefer to believe conspiracy theories over factual evidence .

2

u/panicnarwhal Feb 20 '25

the dna was a match as well. they tested a tooth and 2 sections of femur bone.

-4

u/amscraylane Feb 19 '25

Jesus Tits … calm down.

Several people have faked their own death.

The parents took a 55 minute phone call from Brian after he murdered his girlfriend and then they called a lawyer.

11

u/JesusTitsGunsAmerica Feb 19 '25

Sure, people have faked their own death. Do you believe that a suburban family would have the means and know how to fabricate a skull that could fool trained forensic pathologists?

I don't believe anyone is debating his parents tried to help him cover up the murder. I mean that's why neighbors are shunning them.

You're making an extraordinary claim. Where is the extraordinary (or any at all) evidence to back it up?

4

u/jaeway Feb 19 '25

Lmao faking a death is very hard lmao these were so Middle class suburban run of mill muthafucks.

0

u/leolisa_444 Feb 19 '25

I never heard about this phone call, but DAAAAAMMMMMNNNNN that's sus as shit

1

u/MozartWillVanish Feb 19 '25

It was mentioned in the documentary. How is it “sus as shit”? He called his mom as he was driving home and told her he did something that would require legal aid. My assumption, based on the length of the call and how they acted, is that he told them everything and they knew all along.

u/Spunkyzoe99 Feb 20 '25

The FBI confirmed it was his body from dental records .So are you saying the FBI is also plotting with the Laundries to hide their son ? DNA and dental records are highly accurate so a mistake being made is doubtful

1

u/GlobalTraveler65 Feb 19 '25

Honestly, at the time, I thought the same thing. Your son comes back from a cross country trip without his girlfriend, who lives with you and you guys go camping? Then, Brian disappeared and his remains are found in this natural reserve a week later? Brian’s mother is Looney Tunes!

3

u/panicnarwhal Feb 20 '25

he was identified using dental records and DNA - they were his remains

8

u/timoperez Feb 19 '25

Oh shit!!!!!

2

u/vervaincc Feb 20 '25

And during the week he was missing everyone was certain he was under the garden, in the attic, shacked up with some uncle up town, and living on the Appalachian trail.
Why are people so fixated on ridiculous conspiracy theories with this case?

4

u/[deleted] Feb 19 '25

Yeah unless they did DNA testing, imm not buying that shit. It takes a long ass time for remains to be completely reduced to bone. And in the documentary they kind of alluded to the conspiracy when the FBI agent mentioned how much time and manpower it took to search for him then it only took the parents 1 hour to find him 1 mile from the car park. Pleaaaaaase!

26

u/GlitteryCakeHuman Feb 19 '25

He was made into human sludge soup by heat and bacteria and eaten by animals. It goes fast.

5

u/leolisa_444 Feb 19 '25

This is absolutely correct

11

u/Fearless-Ice8953 Feb 19 '25

They DID do dna testing and a dental records check. I believe there’s a 47-page report on the autopsy.

8

u/JesusTitsGunsAmerica Feb 19 '25

He was in a swamp with countless predators, scavengers, bacteria, and high heat/humidity.

I've seen animals in that same environment picked clean in days.

Produce your contradictory evidence pleeaaaaase!

31

u/Basic_Gold8983 Feb 19 '25

Animals picked at him, then the area flooded and he was exposed to weather and heat. How easy do you think it is to find someone, in what they said was chest high water that had 0 visibility? There's also cameras everywhere, so unless he's hiding out in a cave or something we would have seen him.

44

u/bananapants72 Feb 19 '25

And in the Florida heat? Of course he was deteriorating in the humidity and heat, left to be eaten by predators (which are plentiful there). People are too quick to latch on to any sliver of conspiracy, man. A quick google search shows the FBI used dental records to identify him. While I believe his parents are horrible people that aided and abetted him, I don’t think they’re hiding him in a cave and going to visit him. Maybe he’s hanging out with JFK and Elvis?

4

u/vervaincc Feb 20 '25

Yeah unless they did DNA testing,

Spoiler alert: they did.

3

u/panicnarwhal Feb 20 '25

they did dna analysis on a tooth and 2 sections of femur bone, as well as dental identification

-3

u/IMO4444 Feb 19 '25

Someone else in this thread said they used dental records. Not sure if it was a full denture. In Wild Things, Neve Campbell purposely leaves teeth behind so the police can identify her.

0

u/Shufflen Feb 19 '25

To clarify “I don’t Believe” why in this day and age would DNA testing have been done.

2

u/papa_f Feb 20 '25

Because his body was decomposed you nutter.
