Technical Support Netflix TV UI has changed - anyone else??
I personally hate it, things are too big and rounded now for no reason. Makes things much harder to look at, actually.
My phone's Netflix hasn't changed. If there is a way to revert it on TV, it'd be great to know. In the meantime I suppose I'll check to turn off auto-update on my phone.

u/yashrajchhabra May 30 '25
I'm a sucker for app redesigns, but this is just atrocious. So hard to figure out what to watch now.
8
u/NebulaUpper1545 May 30 '25
quoting from TheSun newspaper:
Netflix says that the new design solves a number of problems plaguing telly fans.
In particular, it's meant to fix that issue where you can't decide what to watch and spend ages agonising over a TV show or movie.
"Finding your next watch on Netflix is about to become that much easier," Netflix explained.
So you don't need to figure out what to watch. Netflix will choose something for you.

u/Rbasicuser Jun 07 '25
So you decide to reduce the amount of shows on the screen so users don't have to scroll as much? What kind of logic is that? I had to scroll enough as it was to find a show that I would like and that I hadn't already watched. And no, your 4 items on the screen does not help me with my next watch. This change may just be a deal breaker for me. This is a sad UI. I'm already frustrated and moving on to a different app. If my family feels the same way I can keep my money and move on to something better.

To be fair, endless scrolling all the titles is very enjoyable a lot of the time. And I heard few friends like to do that as well. Netflix should only care whether people subscribe than people actually watching things on Netflix.

u/Zyonwilson Jun 18 '25
How can a company decide whatâs easier for paying customers, doesnât make any sense. They made it worse because now you have to endlessly scroll to find shit. Itâs the same shit different toilet paper, old and new design. If you donât know what to watch on either youâll scroll, making everything so much bigger does not help that problem

u/Names_are_limited 28d ago
Itâs dystopian
1
u/Standard_Bar_189 9d ago
no itâs just dumb. dystopian would be paying $200 a month for tv and having an unconstitutional agency tell you what channels youre aloud to buyâŠâŠwait a minute âŠmy sources tell me thatâs called cable .

u/Names_are_limited 8d ago
ââimagine a boot stamping on a human faceâ foreverâ -1984
Thatâs what Netflix is

u/NormAteATurtleOnce May 30 '25
I hate it so much I searched Reddit for the Netflix subreddit just to say how much I hate it. I hate it very much.

u/Wise_Wolverine2652 May 31 '25
Reminds me of Amazon's UI, which is also shit.
6
u/Tight-Entertainer196 Jun 01 '25
I opened Netflix on my TV and spent 5 mins wondering why Amazon prime kept showing up instead until I realisedâŠ.
4
u/Old_Comfortable_832 Jun 02 '25
Its 10x worse than amazons. (Unless you are refering to "prime video" which isnstill 5x better) . But firetv has adaptive design and you can see more than two thumb as at time... Prime video...kinda sux, so I pull content from firetv layout instead

u/stone2221 May 31 '25 edited Jun 01 '25
Yep. Horrible ui experience. When are they going to add a useful feature that tells you have already watched something?
3
u/Rbasicuser Jun 07 '25
Or that allows you to say Hide this title from my suggestions. Maybe you've watched it already or maybe you have zero interest in watching it so you don't need these popping up as suggestions.
1
9
u/Mindless_Truth_2436 May 31 '25
Horrible. I want to view all my «My list» on the whole screen, but I got to scroll sideways now. Wtf
3
u/Unlucky-Film4604 Jun 01 '25
Yeah horrible. Thank God I've got an old netflix version on my phone
3
7
u/KBJ2007 May 30 '25 edited May 30 '25
Encountered it last night, and I hate it! My List is all out of whack, showing titles I haven't watched in years, and in fact, I know that I had removed from My List long ago. It's a mess, and I'm hoping someone comes up with a guide on the best way to use it because right now, I don't even want to look at it.
I just looked at it again, and it appears that My List has been rearranged to a point that somewhat resembles the order in which I added titles to the list. However, the whole UI wastes so much space unnecessarily; far more information was visible in the old UI. Bring it back!
3
8
u/Old_Comfortable_832 May 31 '25
The UI is awful can only see 3 options at a time on huge tv screen. Complete idiocy...the rest of the, features fine, whatever i dont care, but the selection grid is non existant and completely a waste of time to scroll through. Hopefully they aadd an option to change to "grid view" "list" etc. Because this so unusable in terms of browsing selections: im thinking Im done with it.Â
5
6
u/Excellent-Bonus1045 Jun 01 '25
It changed today for my TV i fucking hate it so much i missed the old layout and side bar so much. Netflix why ruin good things??
6
u/Silver_Difficulty106 Jun 03 '25
I hate this redesign. Plus it's not loading properly. I think I'm done with Netflix. Not much on anymore.Â
5
u/Ok_Fact_1938 Jun 04 '25
Itâs uninviting and unnecessary. Itâs somehow too much information on the screen and not enough information on the screen at the same time. I switched to a different app after 2 minutes because it takes too long to shuffle through the options now. The last thing people want to do at the end of a long day is learn something new that has no real added value.Â
2
u/Natural_West4094 Jun 05 '25
You've read my mind. And I keep doing the same ... closing the app because it's painful to use. My gut says the new UI's guiding brief will have been about creating big advertising spots that can be sold. These full page show suggestions will be sold as billboards in every home, filled with pizza ads.
5
u/Accurate_Ad152 Jun 05 '25
It honestly makes me mad. Itâs anxiety Inducing having every show explode in size when you roll over it.
5
u/Active-Equipment-744 Jun 09 '25
i hate this...i dont want netflix to tell me what to watch, its proposed movies are trash. everytime i turn it on, i see this...start looking for something, get annoyed by the UI, and just turn it off...i unsubsribed from netflix. trash is just trash.
9
u/ScootFisher May 30 '25
I hate that if you scroll down a few rows but then decide you want to click Movies on the very top, you have to scroll all the way to the top. The sidebar was better.
10
u/loves_windows_phones May 30 '25
You can hit the back button on your remote to get to the top menu
3
u/InternationalLong223 Jun 01 '25
That is not intuitive at all ⊠but thanks for shared it
0
u/rioit_ Jun 03 '25
Things doesnât need to always be idiot-proof. Itâs because of this if people nowdays arenât even able to do basic computer tasks.
3
u/We11WorthIt Jun 12 '25
They said intuitive.
1
u/Kirutaru Jun 29 '25
They said "intuitive" and yet it was the 2nd thing I tried after pushing "up" and it not going up to the menu, but the previous 3 movies. Believe me, I'm not defending this shit show (I just discovered it tonight and I'm really pissed) ... but if "up" isn't the button, then what else would it be? The "back" button is pretty intuitive. Maybe I'm big brain. I don't know.

Literally Netflix and Prime just switched their UI. Prime used to look like this and I absolutely hated it. Now I hate Netflix. Who thought this was an even remotely ok idea?
2
4
u/Old_Comfortable_832 Jun 01 '25
2 and half thumbnails at a time, 2 rows and 70% of thw screen is a promo. Absokutely useless. Thankfully still have prime and max. I have no patience for bad UX.(the general rule.is " adaptive" to screens or at least give people an option to change the grid view. Im done. I tried writing Contact and all they said was I cant revert back and .. badscally.a shrug. I dont need to revert back but im not wasting time on this BS
4
u/CautiousYear Jun 03 '25
Hate it so much, feels like they are trying to force me to watch what they want not what I want đ
4
u/Impressive-File-2599 Jun 03 '25
I spent 30 seconds on there before switching to Disney+ it was so annoying. Itâs no longer suitable for anyone who wants to scroll and decide what to watch
3
u/DiscombobulatedPop87 Jun 07 '25
Oh absolutely, it's brilliant how they took a perfectly functional UI and buried it in a labyrinth. Who needs intuitive bottom-to-top flow or muscle memory-based menu access anyway? Clearly we were all dying to relearn how to use a streaming app in 2025.
I used to go âș right âș, drop down⌠slide left âïž boom, menuâ€ïž! Now itâs like âČâČâČâČâČâČâČâČâČâČâČ. I half expect a pop-up saying, âYouâve unlocked the hamburger menu! +10 XP.â
Honestly, feels like the designers spun a wheel labeled âUX regressionsâ and just went with whatever it landed on.
đđđđBravo to whoever signed this off! đđđđ
đđ„łđđ„łPeak innovation in user confusion!đđ„łđđ„ł

u/brewingb Jun 08 '25
I actually might cancel my Netflix due to this change. Itâs so incredibly hard to see anything, a horrific experience trying to pick something to watch, and my eyes burn after 5 seconds of scrolling because I canât process any information this large.
Sooo upset thereâs no way to revert back.
3
u/Voski_The_God May 31 '25
Did they get rid of coming this week, next week, etc categories?
3
2
u/Icy-Communication177 Jun 14 '25
This was why I came looking for this Reddit! It's fucking useless now. Glad it's not just me that can't find it.
3
u/Magnus28X Jun 07 '25
Between this incomprehensible UI and the ever increasing prices and attacks on family account sharing (if you're in different houses), it seems Netflix is trying their hardest to put themselves out of business.Â
3
2
u/Prestigious-Copy-494 May 31 '25
Were Elon's guys tinkering with it to improve it? Mine went bizarre for awhile, I quit watching as much, then a week later it went back to normal.
2
u/striderhardpig Jun 03 '25
The new interface gives you very limited choice at a time. Wonder how Netflix it facilitates user.
2
u/Prize-Newspaper-1498 Jun 05 '25
They wanted us to spend even more time browsing less actually content per user per hour think about it.
2
u/Illustrious-Yam-1540 Jun 06 '25
This is so incredibly dumb and awful. Today was the first time I used it and I hate it lol
2
u/Connect-Wash4956 Jun 06 '25
Totally dislike the new UI in the TV. Really hard to search and have to scroll all the way up to change between shows and movies etc. this is much worst than disney+âs UI.
Viewers liked their UI because of how easy it was to navigate. Making it harder to do so is dumbfounding to believe it would increase viewership.
Maybe the UX/UI designer from disney did this netflix ui? Change it back and donât make it worst @netflix!
2
u/iamcarlit0 Jun 06 '25
Its awful. Used to show a what's coming and new to netflix. Now it looks like someone with severe adhd on an adderal withdrawal has designed. Absolute POS.
2
u/Kitten7002 Jun 06 '25
I hate it, and since this change, the TV sometimes freezes when running Netflix, or the app just crashes.
2
2
u/itsjackcolton137 Jun 08 '25
To add to the badness, I'm not sure if anyone has seen this yet. But you cannot just click your remote's "back" button to open the menu. Say that you're 20 rows down looking at a movie and want to change profiles, you have to scroll all the way to the top to click it.

2
u/peachyperfect23 Jun 09 '25
I havenât read each comment here, but itâs obv that netflix just wants to control what you watch. at least on my tv I canât use the side arrow button anymore (to access the menu on the left and choose different cateogries). So I either have to scroll down and see what netflix wants me to see or scroll back up and see again everything they want me to see to only then get to the menuâŠ
what a shtt reality we have to live in⊠canât even control the content i wanna see đ€Šđ»ââïž

I created a reddit account just to comment on this and say how much I hate it. I scrolled for a minute and just closed netflix and went onto prime.
2
u/kingetzu Jun 11 '25
Any fix for this? They just updated on my tv today. It's too big & hurts the eyes. Navigating was much better the previous way
2
u/Russ086 Jun 12 '25
My Netflix just updated to this style, itâs awful. I donât care about the cover art being large I want to see more titles. Impracticality at its finest.
2
u/Huge-Set5482 Jun 12 '25
Takes me like 45 minutes just to scroll sideways in the my Netflix tab. They teased this about a year and a half ago if you were a member of The insider program where you get stuff before it comes out. It suddenly disappeared for me and I was relieved but now it's back as hideous as ever
2
u/Particular_Space6433 Jun 12 '25
Let's get the old version back! Saw this petition a news article https://chng.it/qx5TSGrPgj
2
u/Ihatecomcastx1000 Jun 12 '25
This UI looks exactly the same from over a year ago that was pushed out to users opted in for beta stuff.
Now I have to use the search to find something to watch since it has categories on the side lol.
2
u/LouisGuidetti Jun 13 '25
It's unusable for me. It gives me a headache and stresses me out. It has become the opposite of relaxation. That's how bad this layout is. I'm actually impressed they could screw it up this bad. I like browsing and finding new shows which you cannot do here. It's so restricting and I really think it undersells what Netflix has to offer. I am going to unsub if they don't at least give us an option to switch to the old layout. They really should be listening to our feedback. I am losing my respect for them.
2
u/w0d1n90 Jun 13 '25
If you're on a Google TV, just go into setting, then apps, and select uninstall updates. Then reload and log in, and you'll be good to go.
1
u/mjmilian Jun 18 '25
You'll also need to stop it automatically updating to the new:
Open Google Play Store > click profile top right > settings > Autoâupdate apps > change to "Don't auto-update apps"
2
2
u/Alternative_Song7610 Jun 13 '25
I haven't been watching TV of late just logged in - it's shockingly bad. Did they not do any testing on the interface it's pure brutal.
2
u/Chaddhead Jun 13 '25
The new UI feels very claustrophobic. I gave up trying to watch something on Netflix and put Apple TV on instead.
2
u/pussnbootzz Jun 14 '25
Quick example why it is terrible. I have a "my list" of favorites I want to watch that has about 80 titles I've added over time.  But I literally can only see 4 of them at a time. So I have to click one by one for about 90 seconds to get through the entire 80 titles to find something I added but can't remember the title of. Search is useless in that case. You need to see your whole collection at once.Â
2
2
u/Reesyree Jul 18 '25
Any regular netflix user will HATE this. Its designed to help "veiwers" make a decisionÂ
Well Netflix , ta but we dont need help
The only ones possibly benefiting or liking this horrid new interface or those who are intermittent watchersand those who jump from ap to ap and your die hard netflix members are PISSED OFF and super disappointedÂ
Ffs, pleaseeeee go back to the drawing boarf
2
u/Difficult_Test8460 Jul 20 '25
Truly abysmal. I have a 65 inch tv and can see 4 thumbnails at once. Ludicrous
2
u/InevitableAgitated57 Jul 23 '25
Is there any way we can blow up their emails or make a petition so they switch it back to how it was.
Itâs so horrible and ugly. It makes me not want to watch netflix anymore. How am i supposed to figure out what i want to watch if i have to spend ages scrolling just to look at a few titles.
2
u/Names_are_limited 28d ago
It just happened to me like a week ago, it doesnât make any sense. How could anyone think this is a good idea? A loss of content visibility and increased difficulty in browsing, wow. Are they trying to railroad subscribers into viewing specific content? Now I basically have to know what I want to watch before I turn it on. Iâd cancel, but my family doesnât want that.
4
u/Happystitcher89 May 30 '25
The coming soon, coming next week etc are all gone - thatâs how stuff got added to my list when they were available! Like, thanks Netflix for making less like to watch things becuase I have no idea whatâs there.
2
u/Unlucky-Film4604 Jun 01 '25
Exactly. They said go to home, find -if you can- new on netflix. But that's just shows the stuff that's been added. Not the ones coming up. So we'll have to find fan pages or something for shows that are coming
2
u/ouv Jun 03 '25
I hate this, now on my remote, I gotta scroll all the way back up to the top just to search or change from shows to movies
3
u/EatingTheDogsAndCats Jun 03 '25
Just found out you can hit the back button to jump back to the top nav, so thereâs that at least.
2
u/No-Arachnid9518 Jun 03 '25
OMG just logged in to this monstrosity. For a second I thought I was in one of LG's built in shitty streaming services.
Bring back the old style
0
2
u/EatingTheDogsAndCats Jun 03 '25
Shocked that coming soon and recently added are barely anywhere to be seen
2
3
u/Sanity_in_Moderation May 30 '25
It's truly awful. An abysmal choice. You can only see one thing at a time? This is god the fuck awful. I hate it so much that I have canceled my subscription. I kept Prime and Disney. But no more Netflix.
Cancel your subscription and put INTERFACE as the reason why.

1
u/Lance9494 Jun 04 '25
Theyâre just trying to implement the continue watching and up next from the Apple TV app. Because Netflix is extremely complicated and cannot allow it content to be integrated into Apple TV like every other provider does Netflix feels they need to be complicated but yet copy everyone else and their design language!
1
u/grapesnpretzels Jun 04 '25
I have a feeling itâs because they are running out of inventory (eg tv shows and films)
1
1
u/mjmilian Jun 05 '25
I found a petition to change it here: https://www.change.org/p/bring-back-the-old-user-friendly-netflix-user-interface
1
u/Apprehensive-Hawk433 Jun 07 '25
My new LG TV which I've had a month still shows the old interface, it says the Netflix app is up to date, but my older LG TV in the bedroom has the new interface đ
Hmmm why is this đ€

u/therealzkramer Jun 11 '25
Just bring the sidebar back nobody is trying to scroll up for 20 minutes to change tabs
1
1
u/Sync_Sy Jun 11 '25
Anyone figured this tv Netflix out? I went on my tv 5 mins ago and clicked movies and realised after scrolling through a few it said âmovies from Indiaâ but why is it the main screen when I pick movies? I donât mind dubbed but the whole section? Went down trice and was on games, went down again, kids programs, Netflix on my phone has stayed the same
1
u/SignificanceFun265 Jun 17 '25
This design is awful. If you go down too far, itâs a huge pain to go to the top. Iâd rather switch to a different app than wait to scroll to the top. Especially since itâs slow.
Great job Netflix. I can only imagine how much they ignored user feedback when developing this trash. Tech bros for the win!
1
1
u/Zyonwilson Jun 18 '25
And out of all things they also removed movie categories, you have to scroll to find them instead of how it used to be where you could go to category and just pick whatever genre
1
u/Zyonwilson Jun 18 '25
They could have literally just changed the actual design to how it is now, but keep the layout the same. That probably wouldnât have been a problem itâs just the design to get used to. Itâs the horrible layout everyone has a problem with. Change that shit back Netflix
1
u/DingoExtension8507 Jun 19 '25
I hate the new UI...Missing my favorite Coming up, Worth waiting...I could set up reminders...Terrible UI
1
Jun 20 '25
I hate it. Itâs so disorganized. Whatâs weird is on my living room tv itâs the old interface which is great and bedroom has new interface.
1
u/PrinceAdelin Jun 24 '25
Where the fuck are my "remind me" and "coming soon" ?
What a fucking abysmal retrogradeÂ
1
1
u/Soulless2k4 Jun 25 '25
Mine just updated. I hate it. Its the worst UI design ever. I have a large 65 inch TV and can only see 4 items at a time now. Absolute joke of a UI.
1
1
u/Kirutaru Jun 29 '25
Imagine you walked into Blockbuster (lol) and instead of browsing the shelves, you were forced to go to the desk where the store clerk showed you 3 movies at a time of his choosing. He based it on what he thinks you like (because he knows you so well!), but still his choosing. That's literally what this is like -- what the actual fuck. LOL
1
u/usernametaken2court Jun 30 '25
Before I could just go to the left to change to tv movies. Now I have to scroll all the way up. What a pain. Before picking a show you could swipe fast and see a lot of different choices. Now itâs slow and clunky. And the selected stealing so much screen space. It reminds me of another app I stoped subscribing to because it was so annoying to try to find something. Why canât they just add the filtration like the web browser in the apps!!! I want to filter my shows from spoken language, so I can more easily find the ones dubbed to English!!!
1
u/MoriartyHPlus Jul 01 '25
Its made me completely stop browsing. I only look at my watchlist, and even that's ruined so I've been watching a lot more Prime.
1
u/80sPimpNinja Jul 03 '25
Thank you for this post! I just got the new update and can't stand it! Like someone else said, you only get to view 4 movies at a time. One big movie selection and three to the side. This makes it miserable to scroll through to find something. I have noticed that I have spent way less time on Netflix vs other streaming services since this change. I just can't take it. I hope Netflix sees that this was a bad move and reverses the change.
1
u/PsychologyFast4202 Jul 05 '25
My Apple TV still hasnât receiving the Netflix redesign. Neither has one of my Rokus
1
u/Pretend_Ad_2394 Jul 05 '25
They raised the price astronomically and drastically reduced quality content while adding total garbage, and seriously old content claiming New on Netflix l lol. I guess they think they can coast on their name. They can GTFOH. I will subscribe maybe 1 month in a year just to watch their few and far between quality shows. It's a shame, they used to be the best. But just like everything else, great usually goes to shit over time.
1
u/RemoveHot6505 Jul 11 '25
Have they made the row become so huge when browsing through it to find what to watch đ And the auto play is so annoying too đââïž
I do like that you can go to the menu easier on tv now, instead of having to scroll back through the row to the beginning (unless I had a skill issue there)
But they make it harder and harder to find things. Sure, it is nice with some algorithms sometimes, I have found stuff I like that way. But I rather have a ârecommended for youâ row for that
And I thought it was annoying going to ânew and upcomingâ and never find new shows but only those that would soon release compared to before. It had a few it showed but it just sucked compared to before.
If I had language set to Swedish in the last ui rework, it would REFUSE to show some animeâs as well despite spelling it correctly, I had to change the language to English to be able to have them SHOW after searching. Literally not apart of the anime category until changing lang.
I thought that sucked but this.. wtf. I donât want to go past 10 rows to find the correct category and then have to browse scrolling sideways.. just show them in boxes under the category I choose in a dropdown menu đââïž
1
u/WearyTwo7224 Jul 13 '25
The new interface is absolutely awful. After looking this up there are thousands and thousands and thousands of people that are canceling because of this new interface and Iâm gonna be canceling as well.
1
u/gatuin Jul 20 '25
Just got the new UI today. What the hell were they thinking? So much harder to browse through, and a lot less options visible. Really hope they eventually realize this is a disaster and go back to the way it was, but unfortunately canât see them admitting that.
1
u/Good_Implement_4549 Jul 21 '25
And the worst about this change: they got rid of what is hot (top 10), new or coming soon tab.
A "live events tab" as well as the segmentation of each event (thing that they had to implement)? No... Let's make squares look like circles...
But I like this business strategy: ask more money for a worst service. lol

u/lfohnoudidnt Jul 29 '25 edited Jul 30 '25
It literally looks like a half-assed mismatch of YouTube or something. Terrible UI change it really makes me not want to use the app anymore probably going to cancel my account after this. Because it's not enjoyable to use anymore. Luckily if you haven't updated the PlayStation app it's still the same old UI thankfully. But any of your other streaming platform like Roku and auto update so you're screwed.
Also the web app seems to still be use able.
I really wonder if this is their way of cutting back on bandwidth or just actually cutting back on customers I mean they're like a billion dollar company or maybe a million who knows.
Looks like it got to the PlayStation app too F me. That's weird because I never update my PlayStation I like to know how Netflix bypass that or is it just across all their servers or some BS?
1
u/Comfortable_Hair_577 Aug 02 '25
I've just received this change in my tv today and I hate it so much. It makes it feel like the library got smaller and having access to a large library is the good thing about streaming services! I don't care what's featured. I'm already a paying subscriber. Let me browse for something in interested in without having to go on a scavenger hunt!
1
u/Georgie_exe 29d ago
I hate it so much, and I donât have the option to browse shows by genre now?
Like sure Netflix will sort of filter things by genre as I scroll down, but itâs all just stuff theyâre recommending to me.
I used to love discovering new shows by selecting a genre and then browsing stuff I might not normally watch.
1
u/DarkWhite204 26d ago
Iâm so glad Iâve found this post and Iâm not the only one who hates it. Itâs recently updated on my TV and is now horrible to use. Surely they will reverse this awful decision? Itâs now impossible to find anything as only 4 things are visible on the screen at any one time.
I swear theyâve changed the way the watchlist is ordered too? It seems to be random rather than the most recent thing added first?
1
u/RealDrewDogg 24d ago
Netflix says they dont care about the vocal minority, this is how its going to be. Complaining about it, but still keeping your account is pointless. Cancel your subscription.
1
u/SilverResist4886 13d ago
this suddenly happened to me. it was like Netflix was trying to be like the apps with terrible UI's. like some kind of completely misguided decision that is destined to wreak havoc on our future viewing and somehow make their content seem worse :(

u/almondmilkbabie May 30 '25
Yes!! The app wasnât working for a sec (I thought it was internet issues) but after restarting the app everything was updated. I donât hate it but I did prefer being able to see more options at once. The games are way more of a focus now. I always knew there were games but thereâs so many now. Honestly, I will likely never use that but interesting change.

I'll never understand how offering less info on the screen is a good idea.
Before, you could see 3 categories with 6+ titles in each all at once. It allowed you to see a large selection of content without having to constantly scroll. It felt like a large selection.
Now you can see one category, with 4 movies, and a peek at what the next category is. It feels claustrophobic, and like there exists less choice. We went from viewing almost 20 titles at once to FOUR.
Insane UI decisions. Somehow this is even worse than Crave.
It's literally like they just zoomed into 30% of the old UI, and then just resized it to fit your screen.
