Discussion Thumbs down to the new Netflix layout

I have let it sit for moment, given it a fair go, but I really don't like the new layout. It makes it harder to scroll through shows period.

Do you need a TV the size of the Titanic wooden plank that saved Rose just to make it usable?

I have a hard time just finding my Keep Watching queue!

Yes, it's just awful.

Which used to be one of the best features that other streaming services didn't do as well.

My 'continue watching' list has EVERYTHING I've recently watched, and there's no way to remove them from the list.... 😔

Another poster pointed out that the new 'system' now has multiple, annoying problems - and I agree.

I hate it. Stop fixing things that aren’t broken.

Hate it!!! The one thing I did like about Netflix above other streaming services was how much I like their interface and how easy it was to use and find shows. It’s a disaster now.

Additionally, this new Netflix interface is terrible for slightly older devices. It's very slow and freezes during navigation. Here, the sound has about a 100ms delay on any title.

Yes and the back navigation used to work so well and it’s screwed up now. May be it’s intentional

A delay in sounds would make me want to go round the twist

The worst thing about it is that you can’t easily stop the trailers from playing by clicking left and going onto the main menu like you were able to before. You now have to scroll right back up to the top to do this which is very annoying.

It also looks terrible.

I found out you van use the back button to go-to the top. But it is unusable. I even get motionsick trying to use it

Haven’t tried that but it will also be pretty annoying because I usually want to look what there is without the trailer playing

Same, I really hate that the trailer plays and that I can't just read the summary

I like reading the summary too

It’s so bad I ended up cancelling my sub. It’s just not worth it.

"Do you need a TV the size of the Titanic wooden plank that saved Rose just to make it usable?"

The size of the TV is irrelevant, as it still only shows four films/series.

I made a formal complaint and told Netflix that this is the first time in 15+ years that we've considered canceling. The reply was, "we will take this feedback and address it accordingly." suuure you will. šŸ‘

I decided to give the feedback on the general chat function. The said they would pass it back onto the team. I hope the feedback data ends back up at HQ for a resolution

I hate having to scroll all the way back up to get back to the search bar

Agree. And I’m not a ā€œI hate all changeā€ person. It’s just dumb.

I have an 85".
The thumbnails just get bigger.
It sucks no matter what.

There are parts about it I like and parts I do not

u/LKS983 17h ago

Which parts do you like?

I don't hate it at all.

Share the love? What am I missing?

I just find it easy to navigate. It was easy the other way, too, though. The only thing is that I can't really pause something when I need to.

After having this horrible UI many months back, it reverted back to the old UI and remains with the old UI to date.

The most infuriating part to me is that they have completely got rid of the new/popular section. I used to use this a lot, but it seems that the functionality this used to have has just been straight up removed. You can find some of the sections on the home page, but they are just randomly placed and you need to scroll forever to find them.

Get rid of the bright red NETFLIX logo

Today my continue watching section isn't on the home page. I have to search to find them.

It's awful.

Eunice Kim needs to come out and defend it.
