Discussion Unknown Number High-school Catfish Spoiler
What the hell did I just watch? And what the hell was this person thinking?
I'm in shock that someone would do such a thing to their own child. And that she doesn't seem to have any focus on what she actually did.
The daughter didn't seem to grasp what her mother did when they told her but the father acted on it right away.
Was she totally jealous of her own daughter?

So many emotions and it’s been 2 hrs since I’ve finished watching this absolute shit show. Thinking back to how the documentary was portrayed, we hear the mother speaking to us about the sequence of events and timeline. It was a look into how she lies to herself and everyone around her. The false concern, hunting down the culprit, the same heightened response as other parents, all while knowing and spending up to 8 hours a day spewing the most disturbing, disgusting, most vile hate and abuse to the most important person in her life…. For that long let alone EVER! UGH I can’t even process it all! No accountability when she gets made. The worst was her why I’d done it moment. Absolutely INSANE & made no sense whatsoever! No connection based on the actions that continued well after the fact and I mean, the vulgarity…. Like wtf! I’m appalled and I can’t even put my words together. There’s so much to cover but bottom line is the harm inflicted towards the children/ families and most importantly what she chose to do and say to her own daughter broke me and is and will always be wrong! I’m so heated and saddened by this human that I continue to write run on sentences. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some policy out on her daughter and she was secretly hoping to cash in due to all the financial troubles. Ugh, someone else take it from here…. Reading everyone else’s thoughts are helping me process. I want to see this young girl thrive and grow despite the pain she will continue to endure the rest of her life. She will make the best decision for herself despite everyone’s opinions but I pray she has the right support and guidance until that day comes.
