New on Netflix No Good Deed Spoiler

This show is a funky-mystery rollercoaster that should be experienced twice! It is silly, dark, random, FUNNY. There’s a moment - the scene where Luke Wilson plays the piano/sings “Your Song” to Lisa Kudrow - that made me love this cast of characters and all the small heartwarming moments of the show. I restarted the series and am finding it just as interesting, heartfelt & wacky as the first round.

oh and…Ray Romano/Matt Rogers/Miss Squirrel in the coke episode was 👌

New on Netflix Garbo Where Did You Go

Has anyone watched this yet? I’m hoping someone could explain to me why the blonde woman narrating is whispering? Greta Garbo has such a fascinating life story and it’s so distracting the way she’s narrating.

Am I missing something? This feels like a different show to me. Maybe it’s English dub? It’s not the way anyone looks….bit the writing and maybe even acting? Curious if I’m alone here.

New on Netflix With Love, Meghan 😭🌹🍷

In a time where people struggle to figure out what the heck to cook and how to view food, Meghan pulled out very real, healthy, and delicious meal ideas. Being American, I appreciated the different ethnic recipes she brought to her show instead of sticking to one specific type of cuisine. This was relatable!!! I cook Mediterranean, Korean, Turkish, French and Mexican cuisine. I alternate and have been on my own food journey as well.

Like Megan, I’m comfortable in the kitchen so I could tell by little things she would do or say, she too is quite comfortable in the kitchen. I believe with all my heart she is genuine when she says she loves cooking for her kids as much as she can and hosting. I love the fact that she mentions her humble beginnings like eating Jack in the Box when she was younger and that she truly is blessed to have a garden of her own.

It was a lot more relatable than I would imagine for someone who isn’t rich like her. It’s easy to go to the local grocery store and cook her meals on a budget. She gave amazing tips for helping your kids see food in a healthy and appetizing light. My husband was so into the show as well he stopped what he was doing and couldn’t help but pay attention and engaging with the show.

I BAWLED when I found out Guy passed away. RIP Guy ♥️ he was the cutest thing ever.

I hope to see more series. I was so tempted to rewatch it. I probably will again. It gave me so many ideas and I appreciate Megan’s way of leveling down certain things so that everyone in a lower tax bracket can participate and take so much away from what she was sharing. So beautiful 🫶🫶🫶

New on Netflix New addition to Netflix: The Leopard

Just wanting to shine a spotlight on a Netflix show that I really think deserves more eyes on it in The Leopard. For those that don't know, this is based on an Italian 1963 film of the same name, that more or less follows the story of the Italian uprising, and documents how the rich are able to hold onto their power and position even after large scale upheaval.

This is definitely worth the watch, and I am surprised that Netflix is just digging out these old films that no one expects them to remake and actually does a really good job of recreating them. While I have been in a slump with netflix at the moment, this is definitely a show that's worth the watch.

New on Netflix Thoughts on Sirens Spoiler

This might be a controversial take: I don't blame Simone for doing whatever it takes to avoid revisting her trauma, especially when her dad said "It's gonna be you and me again." Like Jesus Christ. First, her mother nearly kills her. Then her dad neglects her to the point where she's starving. THEN she gets taken into foster care and is sexually abused there. "Stealing" someone's husband is one of the lesser evils she could have committed given her awful circumstances. It's immoral, of course, but desperation will lead to desperate measures.

Devin is alright. She's had it pretty tough, but Simone arguably had it even worse. Given what we know now, I'm surprised she wasn't a bit more sympathetic towards Simone for not wanting to come home. I don't have too many thoughts on her.

Michaela is fabulous! No notes. Prime example of how "powerful" women, or women with a strong presence, are villainized or even suspected to be "witches" (the series tricked us into going along with that narrative, when it was Peter pulling the strings all along).

IMO, the main villains are Peter and Bruce (the dad). One intentionally manipulates and tricks people (Peter), and the other was just a neglectful parent who caused irreparable trauma to both his daughters. The main characters are just products of their circumstances.

New on Netflix Naked Gun

This was new on netflix earlier this week, did it just disappear now? Was going to watch it this weekend and i didn't think Netflix would remove it that fast. Is this going to be common with movies and shows now, only there for 2 days?

New on Netflix Would people prefer liver king tell kids to do steroids ?

I understand he lied but anyone can google and find out that size is unattainable without steroids. My question is should someone who kids are actively copying say he’s doing insanely high level of steroids so kids can then copy that ? I’d rather kids get in the gym and eat natural foods vs kids using steroids the moment they can get them.

New on Netflix Chef's Table Legends in Spanish

I'm watching Chef's Table Legends and I have to complain about the Spanish sound translation. Instead of a full spanish audio, the show is a mix between the original sound, overlapped with spanish, in a way that it's not one or the other. It's a verborragic mix between English and Spanish that through away all the show.
It's a shame that Netflix had choosen this kind of translation, leaving us (the subscribers) with a sour taste in our souls...

New on Netflix Netflix was wrong for what they did to Squid Game

That's how you treat one of your most streamed shows? By giving them the cringiest and shortest segment at Tudum? All that hype about Choi Seunghyun being there and then the man said like two lines? You flew them from Korea just for that? A damn shame.

New on Netflix 'Owning Manhattan' Season 2 drops Dec. 5!

Ryan Serhant just announced that Season 2 of 'Owning Manhattan' is coming Dec. 5!

Here's an incredible profile I read about him that talks about his rise from broke actor to real estate mogul, how he built his media machine, and the psychology that drives him. It might give you a whole new perspective on who he really is.

New on Netflix kpop demon hunters - wish the demons were more humanized! Spoiler

I'm really bummed the movie didn't explore further into demons as people who deserve to be free! I wanted to hear Rumi's version of Takedown that humanized the demons.

I think there's huge potential for a sequel here. If Rumi exists, that means that it's possible for demons to be free of Gwi-Ma. Maybe that's what her mom was working on, but them something went wrong and she died. But maybe Rumi can finish her mom's work and figure out how all demons can have a chance at getting their souls back and being free. It would be cool for a sequel to do that kind of "moral circle expansion" where people realize that some demons should have a chance too. But I guess it's too progressive... in the movie the general public doesn't know about demons at all.

New on Netflix Is it possible to watch Netflix in 4K on PC?

I have a 4K monitor which I use for my laptop. It is connected via HDMI. I have the premium plan but when I open the Netflix, I don't see any "4K" or "UHD" or "HDR" tag at all. I searched for "4k" and played a fireplace video that says "4K" in its title but when I checked the resolution, it is full HD. It is same for app, google chrome and edge. How can I solve this? Is 4K feature only for TV?

edit: now I can see UHD 4K tags after installing HEVC Extensions. But when I open 4K content, it only runs in Full HD. My monitor (BenQ EW3270U) supports HDCP, my pc has RTX4070.

New on Netflix Animation treated so poorly when it pulls lots of views

With the consensus that animation is just as popular as movies and regular shows, why are streaming companies still treating animation like it's a niche category when in actuality it's only going to grow in popularity as Gen z and aplha get older?
