The only catch was it made him look like shit. Regardless of the recovery, and a bunch of other people getting it in his inner circle. Outside of him all jacked up on steroids right now 'feeling great', it was a shit ploy

Different steroids. You're confusing corticosteroids used to reduce inflammation with anabolic steroids used to get jacked.

Except for that pre-recorded thing he did outside the white house, he put on an extra couple coats for that one.
