I was away for two months and walked into my flat to a mouse infestation. It was horrific. I had to toss out everything that had fabric. Couch, towels, sheets, clothing , shoes, mattresses etc. There wasn’t an inch that didn’t have feces or mouse piss. They nested in my couch, sneakers, and even my pillows. They were coming up through the heating baseboards in each room. After my landlord had the exterminator come in I had to wait a few days so the mice walked through and ate the poison. Those little fuckers were avoiding all traps laid down even with peanut butter on them. I then used over 400 feet of steel wool and pushed it underneath the baseboard heating around the entire apartment and used fire retardant spray foam to secure some obvious big gaps that existed between the floor and the wall. Some gaps I packed in as much steel wool as possible and stuck the foam dispenser tip right into the gap and let it rip. While doing this I did see the mice had walked through the poison powder and did eat the poison bait. I then spread baby powder down along all the baseboards to see if any have gotten through. So far it’s almost 36 hours and no sign; although, I did hear one last night scratching the foam. But I’m sure they’ll figure out a place I missed and know this will be ongoing. Now it’s wait and see. I can’t tell you how violated I feel. They did a complete gutting of the flat next to me to remodel so that’s why I think it happened. Ironically this flat is brand new remodel and upgrade.
Yeah well they have to die first. Still seeing some and they are avoiding the traps like crazy. I’m sure they ran through some of that powder and some died m, obviously can’t see them.
