I had a friend who passed last month unexpectedly due to an undiagnosed heart condition. she was 35 and leaves behind two toddlers. the kid's father, another friend, passed a few years ago.. I was glad we were able to raise almost $100k for those kids and took it as a reflection of her character as she was an amazing person and our circle isn't rich by any means.
Then, a couple weeks ago a 26yo was killed on the job. he leaves behind a pregnant fiance and a 1yr old baby. I felt proud people in the industry donated from far and wide and raised $125k for her.
both very tragic instances but they both kinda restored my faith in humanity...
and then, this shit.. 3/4 of a million so far for some racist c*nt?
I HATE IT HERE.
