To me this reads like TVA is saying if you build it, we will buy the electricity in a PPA. Who knows how much they are offering in their PPA though.

Is NuScale still a thing? Didn't their reactor get cancelled because it would cost a lot more than OldScale nuclear?

They should just finish Bellefonte. It's damn near complete!!

Bellefonte is not near complete. It would be far cheaper to start over there with AP1000s as brand new units versus ever considering trying to finish what were Units 1 and 2.

Don't know who told you that. It was heavily gutted for parts. They assessed unit 1 is less than 50% and unit 2 might as well be scrap at 30%.
If they laid it up in the same manner as Watts Bart 2...those numbers are overstated. Watts Bar 2's containment looked like a bunch of drunk high schoolers were screwing around in it on weekends for 20 years. There was equipment and components actively damaged by careless employees. TVA does not have a healthy culture of care and diligence.

I thought TVA was going to build a BWRx-300. To be honest if you are investing in that reactor nuscale is going to be a hard sell. Way to expensive
