Nursing Hacks Home Health RN pay
I’ve been a nurse for 8 years and have always worked in the hospital setting (travel nursing for the last 4 years).
Looking to transition to a nursing job outside the hospital and have been looking a lot into home health, clinic jobs, etc.
I got a job offer with a home health company and I’m wondering how these pay-rates (pay per visit) compare to others in the same area (Orange County, California)?

I wish someone had told me what a con being salary in home health is. I used to do per diem…idk why I didn’t stick with that. 😂
I literally feel like I have no life and am working 24/7. I don’t think I have gone to bed before 2 am a single night the past week and a half between getting home late because I was stuck in traffic for an hour + , trying to call everyone for the next day, and finishing my charting there is no room for anything else. I don’t think I’d care as much if my pay reflected all of the work I am doing, but unfortunately, it does not. I get paid the same whether I am able to complete everything in four hours or if it takes me all night. 😭
